Pretty easy to explain really.

They beat the scrubs, draw away to big teams and do well against the big teams at home.

Not really hard to see why they are 2nd.

How is it possible that Iwobi, at age 24 or whatever he is, without having played to much and without having been injured, isn't fit enough to run after 80 *bleep* minutes

Fellaini. Arsenal should be embarrassed. He will be huge for Pool next season IMO.

I think that makes it;

Arsenal: 2 wins
Spurs 2 wins 1 loss
Loserpool : 1 win 1 draw
City: 1 win 1 loss
Chelsea: 1 win 1 loss (will smash them in the cup final too)

think that's right

anyway, put some respect on our name. Deservedly second place this season. Not that it means much because Pool, Chelsea and Arsenal have been dreadful. Pool maybe not, they're overachieving with Salah. Their squad is shocking.

I wouldn't say we are overachieving, Players like Sane, Rashford, Martial would easily get 25 goals in the Klopp system with Firmino upfront.

Like I said, will be immense for you next season. Especially since you play more long balls. Milner gonna be racking up more assists.

I don't know much about football then. I don't understand this type of playing. It is ugly to look at. It reminds me of Zidane's Madrid. They won a couple of CLs and counting but every time I watch them they don't look like a dominating team. Maybe this type of football is more efficient, and maybe they are just riding their luck. Definitely both United vs City and Madrid vs Bayern were luck AF to not get thrashed, let alone winning those matches.

this is the dominating team concept BS you lads poison fans win, this is a ridiculous post. You guys had the best Messi of all time, pep, busi, Xavi, Iniesta at their primes and you still could barely win the CL more than twice in almost 7 years.

Its embarassing really, they play to win games not to please your fancy

Would rather be known as a team that can play balanced football for any situation than a team like Napoli who play aesthetically pleasing football but have never won a damn thing

Its precisely because this real Madrid team is balanced that they achieved something no other team could do in over 20 years, two CLs in a row. Not carlo's Milan, not pep barca, not ronaldinhos team, not Juventus with Zidane, or recently, not man utd prime with Fergie, not the Invincibles arsenal, not Mourinho,'s Chelsea, not Bayern Munich. Route 1 Tiki Taka with no plan b leads to losing 7-0 in champions vs Bayern and getting trolled by Inter with 10 men and Eto'o playing fullback. This balanced Madrid team led by Commander is the best CL team all time, they have everything.

By "looking" dominant, I assume it's the style of football. You know, controlling possession, creating chances, etc in an aesthetically pleasing way. And if that is the definition then yes, Zidane's Madrid and this version of Utd do not "look" dominant.

But both teams have won quite a few trophies so far so I figure "looking" dominant isn't a huge factor with respect to winning trophies. Barcelona is about to do the double in Spain and they honestly have not "looked" dominant in many matches. But they won. A lot.

Post by BarcaLearning Mon Apr 30, 2018 3:15 pm

Real are certainly very good, but I would consider this Real team like best of all time or anything close to that, thats definitely a no. They do have weaknesses, and luck has been a big factor on many occasions. What they have though is a lot of other strengths combined thats helped them overall to be able to do so well in the CL.

Still when u look at their CLs but the fact that they cant even win their own league except once in a long while, one cant really rate them that highly in terms of best teams in history, even if they win 3 CLs in a row.
