Re: Cyberpunk 2077
So indeed the average score being 91% with many sites giving even 10/10 proves me wrong, and happily so.
I don't find bugs to be a huge problem with a game unless game breaking. A game for me I rate based on what it is not bad coding but indeed CDPR do not polish their games too too well and it is why it baffles me idiots get mad over delays as if they have nothing else to do with their time. Delays are for a reason.
The reason CP77 seems rated lower are those bugs and if not the lack of cohesion in its stellar ambition to which I saw as its possible downfall as only so much a small team like CDPR can string together.
But no doubt this cannot be seen as another Death Stranding as I hope to see the thoughts of people who play it, on here.

Yeah I too am holding off on buying this. Maybe I'll get it in a year when all the DLC is released. Hopefully major bugs will be all patched too.

It's generally better to wait out the purchase of a new generation of a console and or a big game as it is given the implementation of patches and what not.
So I too will wait until they iron out such details.

I have a long holiday starting this friday, and nothing to do due to lockdown. I'll be playing this asap.

They should've waited 6 months and done it right, now people are just going to wait and they hype will die.
Doubt it will make the majority of people wait, the game is too hyped and its still reviewing 9s and 10s.
Personally I was thinking about getting it, close to pre-ordering, and now I'll just wait at least 6 months or so. Too much of a backlog to make this a priority. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

Picked up P5 Royal and Doom Eternal Deluxe on Black Friday and I'm still playing Hollow Knight so I'm good lol. Also have FF7, Yakuza 7, 13 Sentinels, Nioh 2+DLC, AC Valhalla Gold to get. That'll cover me for a while.

Medieval setting is much more appealing to me but I have to say the graphics and colors in Night City is truly stunning.

It runs like shit everywhere. On Xbox One and PS4 its the worst. Reviewers were not allowed to show any footage of console versions for a reason.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Thats why you should never buy anything at launch, consoles or games alike.
It does seem like a buggy mess, I wonder how awful it would've been had they released it on the original date. It shouldn't be legal to sell a game in this state.
Although Witcher 3 was a buggy mess too, even years after release so these people who pre-ordered shoudve seen this coming.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Seems buggier than ME4, but CP wasn't chosen as sacrificial lamb for some reason. Perhaps hype was too much, and most "reviewers" didn't have courage to go against this. Yet another example where you should never trust reviewer that is run by ad-money. The best way to buy games nowadays is to wait 6 months and get it on sale, and by that time you have formed pretty good idea how good the game is.

The game is legit unfinished, like it at least needs 1 year for additional polishing.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
lol yeah, if EA had pulled a buggy game like this they would have been thrashed to eternity. But cause it is CDPR videogaming's darling company, everyone is trying to find positives in this buggy mess.Harmonica wrote:Seems buggier than ME4, but CP wasn't chosen as sacrificial lamb for some reason. The power of social media and internet, and sheep who follow the without critical thinking.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Who is the everyone here lol? Everywhere people are trashing the game.
If its reviews remember everyone played on PC where bugs are relatively "minor" but still bad from what I can tell.

Honestly looking at the Reddit comment section I don't think this is the case actually. People are really critical of the game
To me it has always been logical to never buy anything at launch cause refunds are always a hassle.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Man the reviews speak for themselves.
A game being buggy is on the coders, team size and deadlines not representative for the game as a whole.
EA and Ubisoft RIGHTLY are criticised for their bugs given they have a monolithic budget and teams ranging from around the world.
CDPR is a modest sized office in Warsaw.
Yes its on them for releasing an unfinished game but if the game is getting the reviews they are, whilst being buggy imagine how good it can be considered when patched.
User reviews mean little. It was the same thing with TLOU2 where the bad reviews are on the 1 star scale, to which doesnt take a genius to figure out its people who have wanted it to fail and I along with others predicted such a thing to happen before reviews.
The bigger the game, the more people who will be bothered to waste their time with such. Applies to most things in life be it a top athlete or figure or film.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Agree exactly with Arq here. That's my take as well. The game being reviewed this well, even while being buggy, has me more hyped than I ever got (wasn't really hyped before at all).
Anyway ill see tonight for myself what it's all about. If it plays well or if I'll put it down and wait for ps5 or more fixes.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
CDPR needs to do something to save their image. Ubisoft made DLC free for AC Unity, I can see them making the first planned expansion free or something like that. Actual expansions and not smaller DLC which was free any way in Witcher 3.
Also on someone who complained the most about Witcher 3 bugs here, trust me on launch things were not as bad. Biggest problem for me was sidequests which showed up as failed or could not be completed because of bugs that really pissed off a lot completionists. Other than that there were stuff like Roach teleporting to the roof or Geralt falling in space. It was not the horror show which I'm seeing in various Cyberpunk videos. They all got patched later along with QOL improvements like getting rid of the ridiculous fall damage, vastly improving movement, fixing small text size and the cluttered inventory system. So I have faith in CDPR to eventually patch everything. But really, no excuses for releasing a game in this state.
Seen people say driving sucks and feels like Watch Dogs which is exactly what I thought when seeing gameplay videos. Thats a bummer for me. Thats not something that is guaranteed to be improved in patches.
