I think, all in all, it's deserved giving all the mistakes we have done, but putting their hands in the air and then dropping to the ground as if they have just won the CL final is pushing it a little bit.

Congrats to them, they were resilient and sharp. But man, we could've easily won this.

That's the unpredictability of the beautiful game.

BTW, there's a certain guy who hasn't showed up ever since Benzie stopped scoring.

I feel bad for Benzie in his current form, but I'm happy that guy is no longer around.

Unpredictable? Pretty predictable to me when I saw our lineup. When you see our defensive record with and without Marcelo nothing about this should surprise you. Add in a bit of the most lazy winger of last decade and you have yourself a defensive disaster.

didn't like our sense of urgency or lack thereof after the goal. i hope we are not letting our guard down because of what our rivals are going through, we are only ahead by a point. and this year the league is practically begging and pleading with us to win it. so win it we must. i expect us to bash celta though, i've never rated them as a team

Our chances vs Celtas chances were day and night.


They had extremely high quality chances.
We had bunch of half chances and a dubious penalty awarded to us.

Honestly, we can't play Marcelo or Bale. Just cannot. It demands that Ramos, Varane and Carvajal play flawless positional defense and 2 of these guys aren't known for it.

Just leave Mendy in there and forget about that.

On that attack, Bale bring nothing Defensively, Bale bring nothings. From a fan happiness standpoint, Bale bring nothing... goose eggs all around. That said, Vini isn't the answer either has i hot heartburn watching him for the last 15 mins. Vini is so stupid, i wonder if he can spell his own name.

The moment I saw Bale and Marcelo start (the latter did well enough tbf), I knew it was gonna be a tough match and 90 minutes later, we made a proper meal of a match that should have just been a dessert.

Also, did Zidane or his technical staff not watch La Liga games or specifically, Celta last week vs Sevilla where they came back from being a goal down? Start your strongest team ffs.

Celta had 3 chances all game. 2 resulted in goals

Both goals are on Varane who switched off on both occasions

Didnt like the line up. Didn't like where certain players were playing after the sub. ZZ was more worried about not hurting Marcelo's feelings than doing the right thing

When has Vini on the right ever worked. NEVER!!!

All in all a total disaster. If we lose top spot, ZZ should look at himself in the mirror because he's been tinkering with the line up since Hazards injury and it's bloody annoying

@doc, i can't lie i felt the same, but i always feel that way especially with marcelo. my thing is, celta basically fall under that stereotype about spanish football, that they can beat you offensively, but defense isn't the sharpest skill. so i expected with our new found defensive love, we could stifle and hit on the break, but yeah having marcelo at lb you're not stifling anyone. carvajal too has low key been degenerating of late, looks like he's put on some pounds too

The 2nd one is on Dani who let Santi Mina get goal side of him. Varane pushed up to play the offside trap while Dani just stood there keeping him not only onside but in a position where he can't intercept the pass or mark the player properly.

The first is definitely Varane though.

It's always on the defender who has the players in front of him to make sure he plays the line correctly... you can't see behind you.

And the first goal was on Varane and Carvajal both while the second was entirely on Carvajal.

Personally, Dani has been kinda poor all season and this was just a continuation of his kinda poor performance.

Game today vs Celta

Solid lineup today from Zidane. 4 mids with Benz and Vini leading the front.

Great middle through ball by Kroos (how often can that be said) Benz scores for 1-0.

I think this might be our lineup for the make or break week of Liverpool twice and Barca at home.

The lack of interest in recent games by this supposedly fan base is very telling!

Meanwhile Zidane is staging another repeat of last year’s season ending run.

I just don't find our style of play particularly entertaining to watch. So i mostly just look at highlights unless it's a big game.

Seems like we did well... Benzema particularly.

Still have no secondary scorers or chance creators. Appeared that were relying entirely on Modric, Kroos and Benzema to get us chances... I really want Rodrygo to get up to form. He's my one hope for a semi-viable second option.

Also, Carvajal coming back will make a big difference.

Zidane has a knack for winning trophies by getting his teams sharp at the business end of a season. Thats great. I would really love for us to get players so that we can do this while playing more attractive football. I understand that we don't have the offensive tools to do it now... hence our current strategy.

Yeah everyone tends not to watch because we play so bad it's not worth.

I watched it today and I thought we played great. Like I said I liked today's lineup and I feel that it should be the main 11 for the upcoming hell week with the obvious change being Ramos for Nacho. Maybe Rodrygo for Vini.
