Looks like I’ll have to add Frankfurt to my watch list, now that they’re getting Jovic back on loan. Might as well make it permanent. I can’t imagine him ever being able to perform under Zidane.

I don't think you're wrong, but I genuinely think the quick-fire sacking of managers these days is absurd. What the top 4 clubs in the big leagues seem to want is a more up to date version of Jose Mourinho, who comes in, drills the team into a very simple tactic that's easy to learn and adapt to, reaches the club's goal in a short time, and leaves the team with a bunch of over the hill veterans. Or a Zidane, who just stumbles his way across the goal-line. Football philosophy has become a dated term. No one has patience for it anymore.

You realize that Rose has a massive conflict of interest seeing he is directly competing with his future club BVB for European football? And, today, for the cup?
And since his decision to cut his Gladbach stay short and use the contract clause to join BVB has become  public, they have 1 point from 4 games, including home defeat to Köln and Mainz?

It would have made sense to fire him on the spot, nothing "quick fire" about it. He's the one who decided to leave anyway.

I do realize that. I was speaking on the general topic of managers being let go within a short span of time these days, since you mentioned it. I probably should've clarified that.

Yeah, I have been reading some of the articles regarding him receiving criticism from fans. I imagine team morale must be low, as well. It's never a good idea to announce transfers well ahead of time.

Sancho’s in form. This has easily been his best half of the season. I hope he keeps it up.

Both of them have been poor, but Hwang undoubtedly has quality. He looked like a gem of a player at RB Salzburg.

I don’t know how to rate Sørloth, myself. He’s usually poor or only plays for a few minutes whenever I’ve watched him for Leipzig, so I’m leaning towards thinking he’s not that great. For my NT, he’s blown hot or cold.

Seems to play really well when he’s riding on confidence, which makes it difficult to discern what his actual level of performance is. When he’s good, he’s good for the entire match. When he’s not, you can tell after only a few minutes on the pitch.

Only speculation, but I imagine he was playing through streaks of confidence as a nailed down starter in Turkey. From what I can tell, he’s been a bit part player, ever since he joined Leipzig. It might be because he’s been poor in training, or Nagelsmann simply doesn’t think he’s good enough, but I don’t think it’s surprising that they bought him based on how productive he was in Turkey. Maybe that league was his right level, I don’t know.
