Perisic goal was beautiful. Croatia may regret not winning the game tho.

Pickford; James, Stones, Mings, Shaw; Rice, Phillips, Mount; Sterling, Kane, Foden

Hopefully we'll see greater threat down the flanks with James/Shaw in. Scotland playing a 5-4-1 means we'll need the width.

@Hans why is Sancho aka the next Messi on the bench?

As expected, England haven't been able to improve their ball progression through the middle in the space of five days. We're relying too much on channel runs from Sterling and Mount to get the ball forward.

This is a game where Phillips should be the 6 and Rice should be benched for another mid. Haven't seen Rice at all in possession and Phillips doesn't look super comfortable pushing up. I'd like to see Foden there instead of the right flank.

Also Kane looks so slow atm.

This is the main problem, definitely. Midfield + CB's I think are the most at fault here. I'm seeing Foden, Sterling, and Mount occasionally find themselves in good spots but the ball in is nonexistent.

Seen once or twice this half where the ball has been put in and if one of those 3 are able to turn, good things happen every time.

Instead the team is too happy to just give it to the outside back, to Rice, to CB, to Phillips, to outside back, to CB etc etc

Kane has been pretty bad. Hasn't held up the ball well and has looked slow when chasing the ball.

England has been so poor. This is one of the worst matches of the euros so far, England can't figure out what to play, and Scotland are trying hard buy can't do much more.

Has anyone been watching ESPN and hearing Mark Clattenburg give the ref opinion on things?

Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know that many German people. But the dude is English and sounds VERY German, really interesting. I might be showing my ignorance though
