Summer Transfer Rumours 2022/23

I don't know specifics for  Messi and I haven't given too much attention to the Saudi players but even good but not elite players like SMS from Lazio are on like 20M NET apparently, they're getting wildly rich out there. It's the kind of money that even if you're filthy rich by normie standards, you can't really pass it up unless you're a rare breed.

I don't think this will be the norm say 10 years from now. Saudi Arabia have nigh unlimited wealth and are essentially investing part of it intowhitewashing their  (currently horrific) international reputation (even outside of football, they recently bought VICE NEWS out of bankruptcy who catered to a very specific demographic with their journalism and there are issues arising with them reporting on shady Saudi issues already as a result of that)

They're launching a bid for the 2030 world cup and basically all of these guys will be ambassadors too

Saudi are investing in every sport not just football

From what i understood the government gave 2 billion to the country's top 4 clubs. Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad

It could happen that next summer the clubs 5-8 receive their own financial boost and then european clubs must watch out, the cost for a half-decent sub will explode

Vice News... seen some of their videos in the past few yrs prolly due to their presence on YT n Covid, not sure exactly what they are but definitely this is getting worrying if they aim to do so much, not just football... not an expert in politics n never paid attention to it until last few yrs as well...but I cant feel positive about SA just using money to buy everything? This is good for us because Deco prioritizes young players with potential over older players with "experience". Xavi's talent ID is awful and he pushes back against it

Deco was against signing Romeu, for instance, and explored younger options. Now Deco is the main guy in terms of transfers and Alemany will leave on September 2nd. Wise choice by Laporta for sure.

If someone wants something to laugh about LFC, we shot ourselves in foot with Caceido and Lavia pursuit. Initially we very playing low ball game with Lavia, trying to get the deal done for 46m instead of 50m. Then as soon as we got the money for Fabinho and Hendo, also freed high wages from our books, we turned to Caceido. We took the recent organizational stability too lightly and have been making wrong /late decisions from last 3 - 4 windows.
Lol, we still can't compete with the riches of EPL, the salaries offered by other clubs to young players are madness that Liverpool will never pay. That 8 year contract to Caceido will cost apparently another 80-100m bucks

I read he was being phased out since May or whatever so pretty sure if Deco didnt want Romeu we wouldnt have got him right? Sure we only know as much as the reports allow us to know, and majority of them are fake, but most journalists were in agreement that Deco prioritized young signings like Roque, Fresneda and DMs like Palhinha or Florentino Luis over Romeu.

Even now Xavi pushes for Cancelo but Deco follows Fresneda still and wants to buy and loan him out.

Xavi was alone in the Romeu pursuit, Alemany had doubts too but they gave in because he was cheap and Xavi requested him..

The only way Chelsea could do something of note is, Poch improves these players and get them playing at WC level in his set up. He just needs to land at one of those Salahs/Haalands/Sakas, then this league is going to get insane. But after everything, only the ManCity are going to win title after title

So Balde provides the width Felix more inside. Would still need a RB at least... n ideally a RW.

We don’t have quality wingers so I see this as the best option, with Balde and Cancelo providing width going forward
