The CF is a problem in the sense he will come off and score a brace to save a game against a lower team, therefore expectations and hopes up but when a real challenge comes he is nowhere to be seen and the cycle repeats. Arsenal will fail to win the PL until they get actual stars to compete with City and Ivan Toney may just be a good candidate for that.

Newcastle absolutely all over us atm, I can see us shipping 3-5, they just work so much harder than us

Rashford doesn't help out defensively and he's not scoring goals so don't see the point of him starting nowadays

Shaw is a better CB than Lindelof and Varane has fallen out with Ten Hawg seemingly and looks set to be shipped out to Saudi in January if I had to guess (assuming - which is quite possible, ETH is gone before then)

Alvarez has been very poor in recent matches, but yeah, he does look great when he's on his game. Doku has been more in the spotlight lately. I do like watching Doku when defenders aren't able to follow his movement, but he's very much a one trick pony compared to Mbappe. Doesn't offer much in terms of passing, and doesn't seem to be great at making decisions that don't involve dribbling and shooting.

I won't be surprised if City end up losing this game.

Yeah, until he's marked by a defender who can keep up with his movement. Then he becomes a turnover machine It's good for City that he's in good form these days, though. They've looked quite sluggish recently, and they're making a lot of defensive mistakes for some reason. Haaland is reminding me of Messi with his walking around. I don't blame him with how infrequently he receives the ball, but it's painful to watch.
