The Etihad Stadium outfit have targeted the Argentina international to bolster their strikeforce, regardless of whether Carlos Tevez departs.

Aguero is now expected to jet out to England with his agent Hernan Reguera and Atletico sporting director Jose Luis Caminero.

City are believed to have tabled a €45million (£39.7million) offer for his services with the striker mulling over signing a five-year contract.

Aguero is reported to have spoken to City's Pablo Zabaleta about life at City and Manchester, although he has not been in touch with Tevez.

The talented 23-year-old is currently home in Buenos Aries following the conclusion of the Copa America, but is now returning to Europe.

You can't blame him though if Man City and Juve or staying at Atletico were his options if that is what he said and City has history although it might not be rich.

It's not like if they are going to play with 4 strikers. There are over 50 games for the season.

Yeah, and to get the best out of any of them you need to play them for 40+ games, plus City only play with one striker. I just can't see how they can effectively manage the four of them.

Aguero will probably play out wide even though he's usually average there.

Hopefully, Balotelli and Tevez stay at the club though. Can't wait for the inevitable controversies and dressing room unrest.

I know they only play with 1 striker maybe Aguero will be played wide and I really don't see Balotelli as a starter atm and Tevez can still be looking to leave.
