we just grew up with it,whenever we(south americans) hear the english speaking commentators it just seems very dull.

Yeah, it's football, not grandma's tea party.

Btw, looking back on that feed the German one is incredibly lazy. "Messi messi messi messi .... (silence) ... Villa!"

There's a reason Germans are famous for their robot like nature.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the whole screaming "Gol!" thing for thirty seconds. I find it incredibly annoying, not passionate.

I've grown up with English commentary and I'm going to stick with it. Martin Tyler and Ian Darke being the two best English commentators, in my opinion.

None they are all shit....

I mute my tv and listen to music when watching football nowadays.

Guess no one here has heard of Tiziano Crudeli.

My favourite is Fabio Caressa for youtube but if I'm watching a game I'll always pick english just because I'll understand it better.

I hate spanish commentators because they say gooooooool, in a passionate moment, you just scream your heart out, saying goool everytime eliminates passion.

Honestly A LOT of commentators suck. Listen to a hockey playoff game, those guys are good. The only time you get good commentators usually is during the world cup because thats where everyones passionate. A lot of english commentatora sound bored half of the time.

But if you watch an international team you pretty much have to watch it in the language of the team your supporting ie. Italian. Half of the time if I watch Italy play in english the commentator rarely says who has the ball or who made the tackle, theyre so vague. But if you watch Italy play commentated by Italians every pass and every move the players names are mentioned.

Obviously i'll vote for english..

Rob Palmer ,Kevin keatings and John Helm are my favourite english commentators..

All of them are pretty dramatic too.

Arabic and English El Jezeera commentators are the best IMO.

english as in the british ones are the best. its not just about the fact that i can understand them. there's a big difference between the british ones and the american and australian ones. american and australian ones are horrible.

i'd pick italian out of all the non-english commentary i can't understand. just cause they sound the most passionate.

Richard Whittle? Does most of the Serie A games on Fox. He's the best English-speaking Serie A commentator right now imo, there used to be a couple of good ones about 4-5 years ago but I never got their names. Now, half of the Fox Soccer ones are really bad, and everyone except for Ray Hudson on GolTV is terrible.
