Anymore like Iturbe?

It was claimed a while back that Utd were interested in Iturbe but couldnt get a work permit. So they had Mandez become his agent to make sure no other club bothered him, move to Porto for 1 year in order to receive a permit, Porto get part ownership and will get a generous transfer fee next summer in addition to having a great player for a year.
Mendez is the go to agent for Utd, he mentors our not yet bought targets and have first dibbs on the rest of his clients when available.
Theory is that the Bebe deal was a thank you for the Iturbe deal, he got paid as an agent and as an owner...he had a percentage ownership of him and received 4m out of the 7m (shady lol)

Soon after this rumour surfaced, Iturbe moved to Porto with...guess who...Mendez as his agent.
As good as this is for us (our young talent is ridiculous) are there any other youngsters on similar deals?
Are people excited over a young star without realising..say Madrid..have him in the bag?

Mendez has clients everywhere though.

Real Madrid alone have around 8 players with him as an agent Including Ronaldo and not to mention Jose.

The guy is regularly seen in Madrid as well

Not saying Iturbe is not going to United but having Mendez as an agent is not THAT big a deal especially if you have played/coached in Portugal for a period of time. The guy has contacts everywhere.

Yeah but Utd are the closest to him to a point where its a bit dubious

Supposedly hes helping with our new feeder club in Brazil by supplying the best young South American to them, and thus, us

Hes 1 of the most powerful men at Utd

The scary thing is his influence is growing at Madrid as well. Slowly but surely a lot of our players are represented by him including some of our staff.

If it keeps up he might even start doing the same for us.

He's a powerful man in football IMO. Not just one club.

Yeah but were like ground zero, its common knowledge that we have first option on his young stars stolen from other agents

He's still young, I say give him a year at porto and see how he progresses.

James Rodriquez saw inconsistent minutes, its not easy trying to find a place in a forward line consisting of Hulk, Falcao and Varela.

They play with 3 forwards, i think he provides interesting rotation with James bond no?

james will overtake varela this season. i trust in my boy

Why implement him from the start when they know hell have to be replaced?
With the rumoured fee already supposedly agreed, whats the incentive? It wouldnt surprise me if hes put on an EPL style training program to prepare him for England

Hes as good as any other 18 year old, very good player and has loads of potential.

Not often is the answer.

James Bond didnt play as much as probably he expected, so I dont know what Iturbe expects.

Over Joao Moutinho, Belluchi, Gaurin?

Highly doubt it, especially over Moutinho.

The only hope for ONE of them plaaying in that position is Fernando leaves and Gaurin moves back to DM.

Actually yes, Joao is cemented at AM. Belluschi's not that impressive IMO.
