Agree, Only transfer that I have actually been excited about is Per. We needed Santos but his career does not exactly scream world class kind of similar to Arteta.

No with Arteta you know what you are getting. He was the closest thing to Fabregas in the PL. And reaching 30, he will not hinder Ramsey's growth

Arteta is having a medical according to some tweeps. 10 million deal. Thats okay with me.

I still want to see Martin come in. That would complete this for me.

Arteta has been consistantly among the top 5 creative mids in the PL for the last 4-5 years. Dont let his 0 national caps fool you. When you play for a club like Everton you are going to get ignored.. esp if your country already has Cesc, Xavi,Xabi, Silva, and Iniesta. If Arteta was english, i am sure he would have had 30 + caps by now

We will not except only players from mid table teams, lesser leagues or relegated teams.

Arteta offers more to the club than Modric. You guys should watch him. If there is any short term player that arsenal need to fill the void of Cesc, Its Areta (who is a Barca product as well). I suggest you all to watch his goals (free kicks) and Assists and passing range b4 you label him as unworthy of our team.

Arteta? i was expecting one big signing. He is good i admit that but why cant we just buy another quality like hazard or even Douglas costa? We know we've got enough cash to splash so why are we not spending em?

On the other hand he could be good because he is getting and will not hinder Ramseys progress.

He is a class player, has amazing passing range, playing with world class midfielders and attackers will help him. Also will help give ramsey time to grow. And he can help wilshire grow. Also dont judge a player by the team he plays wuth, look what liverpool went out and did, they got enrique(newcastle) adams(blackpool) and downing(aston villa i believe?)

Hazard is a standout talent (not a play maker by any means). Douglass Costa is really young ,small framed, not wc either (has potential), and has no PL experience, and will cost 15+

I would go fo a playmaker who we will keep for 3-4 years that can give us the best years of his career. I believe Ramsey is destined to take that spot in 3-4 years

I would rather have WC players that are constantly pushing our players to be better. Not some space saver while some kid may or may not make it.

i dont think arteta is the only mid coming. we've bid for renato augusto and he's london and wants to play for us but leverkusen want a little more cash.
