Matri: 'Juve aware of strengths'
Alessandro Matri is confident Juventus can get right back on track against Catania. “We’re aware of what we can do.”
Their 100 per cent record was ended in a 1-1 home draw with Bologna, but they remain joint top of the table with Udinese and Genoa.
“We know that the next test is our third in a week, so it requires mental strength as well as physical,” the striker told Juventus Channel
“It is always difficult to pick up points in Catania, but we’re aware of what we can do and have to push even beyond our limits with the right hunger and mentality.
“We discussed the Bologna game with the Coach, the same way we always do, evaluating the positive and negative aspects.
“Antonio Conte showed us our mistakes and also where we did well, so we can learn and resume our path.”
Matri is likely to start in Sicily, as Mirko Vucinic is suspended because of that red card against Bologna.
“Mirko was disappointed with that dismissal, but then who wouldn’t be? Let’s say all of us in the team understood that at that moment he only wanted to get the ball and mistimed it. When these things happen, you are only appreciated and absolutely not discriminated against in the locker room.”
