It's a name that was made up by the SPANISH media describing the way spain played in euro 2008, there is no official nam, tiki taka is a load of BS. Call it what ever you want tbh, I call it cruyffs legacy...no jokes...

Tiki-taka is onomatopoeic, some commentator named Spain's way of play (in 2006 mind you) after the noise clackers (a children's toy) make.

I know that. But it makes no sence. It's literally "tic tac", due to the short passes and first touches employed by that style. But that's not the main point, because many teams employ a short passing style.

But it's retarded. It's like calling all long ball, direct tactics "bang boom".

Luis Enrique has us playing the possession football and I must say it's very boring to watch.I was expecting us to be opening up defences left right and center but it's quite the opposite.

Tiki Taka or to most Spaniards tiqui-taca loose translation (I think) is "touch-touch". Not too sure of the exact origin or who invented the term but it's just something to describe a certain passing and movement game.

tbf m8 itll tke time, I think retaining the bll comfortably should be the 1st order of busness followed by movement in the final third.

Thing is though we don't look comfortable on the ball, esp our 2 CB's who can't pass the ball.

That's what I'm saying mate. That shold be enriques 1st order of business. Apart from Barcelona most teams dont play with patience, they all want to log the ball forward. Apart from messi you can't ask for a better false 9 than the original pioneer himself, TOTTI!
