Roma stadium development

Roma stadium development
Roma have released a statement confirming they’ll develop the area around the Stadio Olimpico.
The arena is owned by the CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) and only rented by Roma and Lazio for their matches.
As they are not in a position to build their own stadium the way Juventus have in Turin, the Giallorossi have been in talks to revamp the existing structure.
During today’s meeting between Roma President Thomas Di Benedetto and CONI President Gianni Petrucci “we laid the foundations for a synergy partnership” for a more efficient use of the sporting and cultural heritage of the Stadio Olimpico and Foro Italico.
“Among the proposals being studied are the identification of areas useful for a better fruition of the sporting event and the transfer of some AS Roma offices to the Foro Italico area.”
The statement promises a series of activities to improve the match day experience for families and disabled fans, a commercial area around the stadium with new merchandising stalls, improved media services and improving the ‘entertainment’ activities within the arena.

Re: Roma stadium development
I also heard the commentator saying this during the derby. Does this mean that DiBenedetto officially has given up on the whole thing? I mean, if you really want to build a stadium that you can afford, it has to work, look at Juve!
Alright, so take a look! http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5gbd2JAf92o1nI_6iClhvBV4e4GMw?docId=CNG.62960d81c9574355889ec2e3eeb14bb3.81
Maybe this is why they are waiting to discuss the stadium plans any further.
