This is a very difficult one. I would say that Santos is the better left back out of the two, but Gibbs is young and potentially could be a lot better than Santos over time, if given plenty of playing time.

Not a lot to choose between Santos and Gibbs.

Gibbs' performance at WHL was very encouraging. I know he has great potential, just needs a run of games.

But Santos is a left-back I have always liked, long before Arsenal signed him.

I am delighted that LB is a position now where we have 2 competent players and I am happy with either player.

I hope Gibbs learn some positioning, he was awful vs Sperms.

it's what's holding him back imo....he needs a defensive brain fitted in to that head of his apart from that he is a talented guy who is still learning and will improve a lot in the future
