Re: Arsenal Lobby
Pires said to Canal Plus:
"The time has come for Arsene Wenger to think about investing the money from player sales into players with experience and more of a guarantee.
"I think other players have spoken with him and told him the same. The set-up has changed now.
"Before this, many players wanted to stay at Arsenal for a long time but this has changed now, too. Players leave now at their first chance.
"That goes for Clichy, Nasri and Eboue. Indirectly, Wenger is to blame. Unless new players come in and others stay then the problem will get worse.
"I don’t think that they can rival the likes of Manchester City or Chelsea but you can’t win just with young players."

If only.
But anyway, reminds me of that table that showed that we would have been champions is we didn't hit the post so much >>

Re: Arsenal Lobby
I was just thinking. Wouldn't it be better if we started our attacks from the wings and then quickly move the ball into the middle? Well atleast that's what i was thinking. Coz we sometimes start on the wings, but the opposition midfielder or fullback pressures the wingers into giving the ball away. If we could somehow position our players into recieveing the ball in the middle from the outside it could be a bit better? I don't really analyze the games too much until after it's done.....

Frimpong needs to learn manners and if he continues like this then Wenger should take his place away from him and put him in reserves.

What?
Piers Morgan is a well-known dick on Twitter who has a go with a lot of players. He decided to have a pop at Frimpong for that red card at Liverpool and Frimpong had a go back. There's nothing wrong with that. Frimpong is a human being and well within his rights to defend himself in a war of words, no matter how petty.
Incidentally, Jack Wilshere also got involved in this little exchange so I guess we should take away his first team place as well.

Youthful exuberance and inexperience, he will learn and mature...

Arsenal's Champions League squad.
For those of you confused:
List A contains the players that have to be registered i.e. they were born before the 1st of January 1990.
List B contains the players that don't have to be registered i.e they were born on or after 1st of January 1990 and have been at Arsenal for an uninterrupted two year period since their 15th birthday.
Hence why Ryo Miyaichi has to be part of List A because although he was born in 1993, he's not been at Arsenal for an uninterrupted two years.
Interesting that Samir Nasri is still there.

I am not only talking about him talking to Morgan but also on the pitch. The first yellow card was totally useless and he could just walk away from there.GoonerJay29 wrote:djoe26 wrote:Frimpong needs to learn manners and if he continues like this then Wenger should take his place away from him and put him in reserves.

Of course he can defend himself and there is nothing wrong doing so but he shouldnt defend himself by insulting others specially when the guy you insult is a fan of arsenal.

A mistake because of inexperience. Not something to lose a first team spot over. Even the most experienced and well-mannered players get yellow cards like this. Bacary Sagna got a second yellow against City last year for a similar incident, and Sagna is the last player you'd expect to react angrily to anything.

The same Arsenal fan who does nothing but moan about the team and the players.
In fact the large majority of Gooners on Twitter loved it when Frimpong had a go back at Morgan.
It's not like Frimpong has insulted Arsenal or has said he shouldn't have said. I just don't see why any punishment should be given for something as petty as this.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
We actually need more players like Frimpong on our team. Give him time, and he'll know when to get away with those tackles like van Bommel or Gattuso.
I'm not sure if playing Nasri would be such a good thing, since his value can go down due to being cup tied.

I dont care how much we get for Nasri anymore, no way we would see any of that so let him play and let his value go down.

You can not compare Sagnas situation to his cause sagna got tackle from zabaleta which led to fight wasnt it so? While Frimpong got yellow card for nothing and that i think he needs to improve. But again every human makes mistakes but he better learn from his mistakes. He has got talent and desire to play and thats what i like about him and he is going to be great player once he control his anger.
Punishment? I meant he could lose his place if he didnt manage to control his temper. I dont dislike him, infact i like him but i dont want to see us losing because of useless mistakes.GoonerJay29 wrote:

Re: Arsenal Lobby
You guys remember that article about their being a divide between Wenger and the board?
The guys who wrote it received an email from Arsenal telling them it was entirely factually incorrect.

A copy of the E Mail which was sent today to Arsenal Times, from Arsenal Senior Media Officer Katie Baldwin appears below with Eduardo’s reply.

Hi Eduardo,
Having read your piece today we feel it’s appropriate to get in touch to say it’s entirely factually incorrect.
A number of other sites have picked it up and are reporting various elements, and they have also been informed that it’s with no substance.
By all means do call us in the office if ever you want to sound something out before running it, we appreciate you’ve possibly had a steer from someone that has a contact here at the Club – ultimately we all want supporters to be able to read factual pieces so hope it helps you too.
All the best,
Katie

It was unlikely that the club was ever going to confirm any of it was true, especially since they sent the article to Gazidis, of all people.

Really dont care if we lose him for free next year, there is no way we would see a replacement for Nasri.
