Van Ginkel's agent, Karel Jansen, was quoted as saying that his client is already seeking a new club to join in the January transfer window, saying: "He has had very little time on the pitch. We were not happy about it and it went against all logic."

However, Jansen has now denied suggesting that Van Ginkel is ready to quit the Serie A outfit, instead claiming that the midfielder is determined to fight his way into his new manager's starting XI.

Jansen said: "I never said Van Ginkel wanted to go back to Chelsea. The only thing on his mind is fighting for a place at Milan."

Why Marco

Truth be told , last game he was used , he did very well. Showed why he's rated. He seems to have injury issues though , which is really sad. 2nd time he gets injured in training in less than 2 months. Such a pity .

Yes, he seems to be made of glass. Shame too as I really like him as a player as well as as a lad.

shame Inzaghi is playing true scrubs like Muntari and Essien over him . A real pitty , i really enjoyed the last game he played , so good with the ball at his feet.

If he gets back in Chelsea , does he have any future there tho. I think not , not sure where he will fit. I'd argue he will be playing even less , so why don't just abandon him there in Milan

Nah but in all seriousness, I wonder/worry about his prospects with us myself. That season-ending injury for him last year so early on in the campaign was so, so costly for him as he really could have used that season to show his quality and what he had to offer. Considering the only other midfielders in our squad then were Lampard, Ramires and Mikel (and later Matic from late January on), I really believe he could have put his mark down and staked a claim for himself in the long-run. Now, with Matic and Fabregas undisputed as our best CM, and the ever-present possibility that the club will be out for another top-quality midfielder come summer, you'd certainly have to question where he stands with us going forward.

If it was up to me he would play each and every game. As for his future at Chelsea , yes i think the same way as well. Chelsea is fully capable without Marco atm , whereas at Milan he can still leave his mark . And in any case , regardless of Milan . There doesn't really seem there's room for him at Chelsea .

I especially agree with the fact about how unlucky he was with that injury which forced Chelsea to look elsewhere. I do believe Van Ginkel will eventually become a really top class player . I hope it is with Milan , but it's a faint hope , admittedly . We'd have to compete for things again for MVG to be top with us and that's not happening any time soon
