I've lived enough on GL to spot a troll within 5 miles away.

Re: Roberto 'Boby' Firmino
I just want to say that this has the makings of the next Suarez signing.
Not overly fast. Incredibly tenacious (a very good record of tackles/interceptions and pressing for a forward). Great technique and ability on the ball. He also seems to be hard on himself and only looking to improve: http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/187553-firmino-there-s-still-more-to-come
Again, not to beat a dead horse, but he was one of the best players in the BuLi over the last two seasons at the age of 21/22 and 22/23 respectively. I get more and more excited about this signing the more I think about it.

Speaking to FIFA.com in March, Firmino said: "When I arrived at Hoffenheim I could already play football, but I've developed physically, technically and tactically since then.
"The Bundesliga is one of the world's best leagues. I had to adapt and improve to get by here, and although I've now reached a good level, there's still more left to do.
"My own dissatisfaction is my biggest motivation."

Keep in mind this is Suarez in his prime vs. Firmino in his 21-23 years.
Now obviously the big task will be getting more goals, but he was primarily played as an AM so 22 goals (League + Cup, where he played more time as a forward) in 13/14 and 10 goals (League + Cup) this season is not so bad. As a striker with Brazil he is 1 in 2 I believe (and better than that I think if you look at goals per minute since he's played as a sub, and been subbed off early).

James is one lucky guy. Last season he was harping for Markovic and we signed him. This season he got Firmino. Who do you want next, Jamesy ?

Don't let yourself be chased away Linetty.
Let's troll the Liverpool section together.
They might protest, but in reality they love, and need, the attention.

I don't remember seeing them for a while, maybe we should test do they still lurk our section...
So, I have it from a reliable source that Hans wants Löw to become the next Bayern Munich manager - and Pep the next German manager. Özil will then be playing false 9 for Germany, which is bad news for them, because that scrub, perhaps the most overrated player at the moment (together with Koscielny), couldn't score from a dozen one-on-one's even if he was facing some scrub keeper, like Yann Sommer, who isn't worthy to lace Adam Bogdan's boots. Not that goalkeepers are anywhere near as important as field players anyway. And btw, Shed is the best and most knowledgeable Chelsea fan on GL - but I'm sure everyone knew it already.
Lying is not a nice quality, Art.
I would know, as I am the most knowledgeable Chelsea poster

Not sure we'll see properly see his quality flourish until old mate gets sacked (hopefully please) in December.

Re: Roberto 'Boby' Firmino
Ronaldinho, the man, the legend:
Also Hamann:
So much high praise for this player.
FFS just go to another team already.
“For Liverpool to have Coutinho and Firmino is a big achievement for them. It is going to give them one of the most exciting midfields in Europe.
“The creativity, intelligence, and goals they have between them can change Liverpool as a team, it is a big sign of intent. To have a midfield with those two gives them a big chance to qualify for the Champions League next season.
“It is a dream for the Liverpool strikers, to have that sort of service. If you can’t score goals in a team with Coutinho and Firmino in midfield then you wont score goals in any team. They will create so many chances.”
Also Hamann:
"I've seen a lot of Firmino and he's a player I like a lot," the German told the Liverpool Echo.
"He's Brazilian but he has played in Germany for a number of years and I've been impressed by how he has developed.
"I've spoken to people who have worked with him and they say he won't be bullied. He has got more of a European than a Brazilian mentality.
"He is very skilful but he also has the strength and the mentality to survive in the Premier League.
"I watched him a number of times for Hoffenheim last season and I'm sure he will be able to handle playing in England. The Bundesliga is not a league where they don't tackle, the games are physical.
"I played with Elano at Manchester City and from what I see and hear he reminds me of him as a person. He's able to protect himself."
So much high praise for this player.

Whoscored
Now you just sound like that fool that has scouted the whole world / knows about everyone because of this site.
The reality of it all is you just have to see Neymar at number 68.
EDIT: Before you all PMS, I actually rate Firmino and think he'll do well for us. In fact I wanted him 2 years ago. But whoscored rankings?

Re: Roberto 'Boby' Firmino
Whoscored is not a bad supplemental site though. Same with Squawka and transfermarkt (for pure stats). Key word being supplemental. Watching a player play is obviously head and shoulders above anything else, and with all the video available now of even every touch a player has in a game for more of the high profile ones when you supplement with advanced stats it's helpful.
I mean, even watching a game fully there are things you miss and finer details you don't really realize. People harp on it a lot, but there's much more that goes into their rankings than any of us can really claim to watch really.
