Should we sell Benzema?

its looking worse and worse for him, disappointing at all levels, even Sports is starting to give up.

Who would you sign, because at the moment he is at least a top 3 striker. Splash 100m on that kid from United ?

It's a little bit complicated. On the one hand, he's a top 3 CF. So we're pretty much certain that his replacement is going to be a downgrade in every department minus the workrate, which is Benzema's weak spot.

On the other hand, if he turns out to be guilty or if this court case gets dragged out a lot to the point that would see him spend more time in courtrooms than playing or training with us then I want him gone, or at least find a suitable replacement.

What we must do though is buy another CF in January regardless of Benzema's court case outcome.

If the phone convo posted in the general section is true, it didn't sound too bad for Benzema, imo. He seemed to me pretty much just the messenger.

Sorry about not knowing the rule about not posting here and mind u I NEVER post here. That was my first and this is my last post here so no worries for u. just want to say and not like u need to agree but please stop looking for scapegoat every single season last year was Casillas and Ancelotti this year it's Ronaldo. Instead think about why did the team consisting of most expensive players on planet got knocked out of cl by their academy talent. Take care!

Analyzing shit performances from players are not scapegoating. We've been criticizing Ronaldo's play for YEARS. Only now it's harder to accept when the goals aren't coming. He's obviously so way past his prime that Jesé would be a better option.

Him being past his prime is debatable really. Let's wait until Rafa plays him in his natural and favorite position and then decide on that.

Unlike most Madrid fans here, I only have two problems with Ronaldo:

1. Selfishness.
2. Pathetic work-rate.

Ronaldo to me is one hell of a player - a devastatingly lethal assassin of the highest order. His only two problems is that he's too selfish and doesn't help us defend or press.

its doesn't matter if benzema is sold or not, just love highlighting how full of crap some these fans are, and how much they don't know shit about footy.

even before this case im sure the same poster was trying to rally support for cr9, even though he was clearly worse than anything benz produced, but since its not benz its legit cause "he a goal machine" , before that its was jese the super 9, before that cr-bale was legit "cause their goal machines", clearly don't know anything about the team or players strengths or weaknesses.

I'm of a different opinion after seeing the reported conversation. Benz was involved with his friend to talk to Valbuena and his friend is somehow tied into the blackmail. Whether he was doing it as a friendly advisor to Valbuena or as a mediator to his long time friend is the question to ask, but either way he is (or at least it's sounds to me) accessory to the blackmail. The smart man would have told his friends (both his childhood criminal and his French teammate) that he would not get involved. I say it all comes down to Valbuena as to what Benz gets whether it's jail time, a fine or probation, but I do feel he will not get off scot free.

As to the op question, I agree with Demon. We don't have much choice but to wait this out, but we definitely need another CF on squad.

Also either way, Madrid should ask themselves, do they want someone on their team of this character. It seem certain French NT will likely give him the boot. Should Madrid have lower standards than the French NT?

If we get rid of Benzema beacuse of the scandal who should replace him? Aguero? Guy is injured 24/7. Lewa? Good luck with that.

Lewa's agent's career plan for him probaby envisions him going to Real after Bayern, but surely not now already
