Top 10 Players of 2023/24

This sounds cynical but only because I can't formulate a list of my own, but this list is composed by our friend to highlight his reverence for key Arsenal players, to highlight how Haaland isn't top 10 and how Rodri is above Vini.

I have many problems with the list but I like how comprehensive it is and just waiting to see the comments.

That being said, next edition should be top 10 coaches, something a bit more tangible than players imo.

3- Kane
4- Foden
5- Mbappe
6- Rodri
7- Haaland
8- Valverde
9- Wirtz
10- Odegaard

Has Haaland been any more memorable than any of the players that made my top 10? I know it's a bit of a double-edged sword with him because his stats this season are still better than most strikers ever get close to their entire career, but he set the bar last season, and this season he didn't even come close to it.

when i think of Haaland this season, i think of how many sitters he has missed.

Saka, Rice and Odegaard very much deserve their top 10 spots, and i believe i'm objective with their specific rankings, unlike the post you see from Hala above.

Only Arsenal fans think their players are amongst the best players in the world. Wasn't it enough with the dose of reality check you received against Bayern. Only Odegaard gets into the top 10 but the rest should be fairly further down that list. They probably have a couple more who could get into the top 20 but that's about it. Griezmann could probably knock Odegaard down to 11th for his one man effort up until the quarters but I can't pverlook how bad Atleti have been all season.

My list is the most objective one. Ok, one could probably argue the top 3 but the rest is as accurate as can be.

everybody in the world has Saka in their top 10 currently, except for Madrid fans on this forum, and it's because i compare Saka to Vini, that's the only reason y'all go out of your way to hate on Saka

Jude has had a much much better season than him and it isn't even up for debate. Wirtz has played a huge part in Leverkusen nearing a record that hasn't been beaten in 59 years. The rest of those below him apart from arguably Odegaard on your list do not make a top 10 on any list at all.

Saka has not had a better season than Rodrygo or Griezmann or Musiala etc. And definitely not Rice.

Arsenal are so adamant on shoving their players in the discussions of besg players in the world but they are quite far from it. The same way they were calling their CB partnership thr best in the world and whoever else they are hyping. The fact that they tried to claim that Saka is better than Vini is another testament to how far from reality they live.

I am just waiting for the day they call Raya better than Tibu or White better than Dani etc. Arsenal fans really do suffer from delusion grandeur

Bellingham played out of his skin early in the season, a purple patch he has yet to replicate in any other stretch of his career, and it coming in La Liga also has me skeptical... so i wouldn't put him over Saka's consistency... Plus Saka constantly wins MOTMs for England when all he, Bellingham, Kane and Rice feature together in the same systyem.

and yet every objective statistical argument such as WhoScored and objective fans not related to Arsenal and Arsenal's rivals disagree with your opinion on Saka

Gotta admit, as bad as Vini's antics n things, hes been amazing for Real for like last 2 seasons? Cant remember exactly but pretty sure it was together when Benz stepped up n had that amazing season, Vini was a headless chicken b4 that, but suddenly just matured n so quickly evolved n fine tuned his game into the player hes today... if this is not a Euros yr, n Real win the CL, he might win the Ballon D'or actually ffs...

I don't actually rate Haaland anywhere near one of the best players in the world but his stats remain undeniable but Im not disputing this.

My problem if I had to see one is putting Saka above two more effective players in Rice & Odegaard, the latter miles more skilled and ahead of him.

Rodri above Vini is also heavily questionable but hey risky takes are more fun than the safe bets.
