canales: i'd reject madrid

Excuse me for bad spanish comprehension skills, but doesnt that mean that he wouldnt reject Valencia if they pay his clause? If Valencia dont pay it, he would still have to come back. Still, that shows that hes angry at us for giving him no playing time. Not a good sign.

Valencia is a better option than Getafe.

no... he says that if valencia pay the clause and want him to stay and madrid then come back and pay their clause he wouldn't go

Well, a lot can happen in 2 or so years, but that is very disappointing. I understand why he says that, but Canales is one of my favourite players and I think he could still find room at Madrid. I have a suspicion that he is just talking tough and if in two years or something we had won a ton of stuff and offered him a secure place, I dont think he would reject it because of what happened last year.

you can't offer him a secure place though... ozil will be a starter for at least 5 years and noone in their right mind would pay anything even remotely close to an acceptable transfer fee for kaka so he'll probably see out his contract til 2015/16...

sure.. would be the best move for both parties. we have ozil and canales wouldnt want to do a guti 2.0 always fighting for a first team place.. he could be the next big star at valencia and it would benefit them too..however it would hurt the big egos at madrid, so if canales becomes very very good expect us to pay out the buy back clause .. hope he prospers at the mestalla though

Well, consider a change to 4-3-3 with Sahin and Ozil as the more advanced CMs in a Spanish style system. I mean, surely Canales can coexist and those three can rotate for the two CM/AM spots. Injuries, form, rotation happens. Sahin may not live up to hype, Ozil may drop form, etc...

Yeah, basically Im just really pissed how we screwed this one up. Maybe theres still hope, but this weighs heavily on Mou who promised that if he couldnt develop both Ozil and Canales, his job would have failed.
