As a mf? Hardly, he barely plays MF, when Benzema plays he is the furthest up the pitch, only when Higuain plays he tries to stick to his side of the field and even then he is always drifting centrally. No surprise he is scoring less with Higgy playing. Ronaldo for me is a fast poacher.

heat maps have shown he plays very centrally, his average posution is very central as he always comes inside, hell in the lyon game his avrage position was slighly deeper than Benz. So he basically plays as false winger.

Big games are sometimes subjective, just sometimes. If the Bayern/Dortmund game is a big game due to (insert reason) and he scored, he scored in a big game. Why, because the game had more importance than usual. But as usual, the Pauli fan made sense. Gomez as a striker is better but as a footballer, Cristiano is better. Nothing really hard to figure out honestly...

If you don't think games against Dortmund, Schalke etc. aren't "big games" then you're just another Bundes-hater.

i have no problem if people consider gomez a big game man but by the same logic cr7 is a big game player too.. he has scored against teams of equally good or better stature in what are big games for his club.. just last night eg he was the reason for us breaking our stade gerland curse where the likes of raul,ronaldo,zidane couldnt score
