English press, Capello incompetent

And recipient of the epithets' mainly their hair, which are called into question claims that, at this point in the season, the English players are always very tired.

Icompetent may be a bit harsh, however some of his decisions have been very questionable. Yesterday's game, for example, he left out Ashley Young from the starting line-up in favour of James Milner and threw on Stewart Downing instead of Adam Johnson.

Changing to a 4-3-3 is a step in the right direction, as is regular selecting Jack Wilshere - though I wish he, and the media, would stop licking his arse and putting so much pressure on him - but there is still much work to be done.

I think Ashley Young suits a 4-3-3 more than Milner does.

the English national team has a lot of work to do.. from the coaches to the players and even to the English media(for over-hyping their crappy players) and increasing the expectancy rate

English media is sensationalist is just about everything, not just sport so that's not something that's going to be changing any time soon.

Things are being done though to improve the future, like a re-structuring of grass root football (smaller pitches, abollishing league tables) and more technical players are coming through the youth systems.

The same cannot be said about the coaching, however. Wish there were more competent English managers about.

Capello reslly messed up England in world cup . I dont think either of them recovered from that . Should have resigned after the world cup .

Honestly, the way the media rides him every time he does something bad is probably the main cause of his failure. The players latch on to it, and don't respect him as much. If the media let him do his own thing like he was managing a club, he'd do far better.

Though still, milner starting for any team is a joke.

The sensationalism of young English players in the English-speaking media is embarrasing, the reporters have absolutely no knowledge of young foreign prospects and rather decide to hype their players continually.

Germany's Olympic team would run circles around anything England could put on the pitch.

I think its time for Capello to stand down.

Can anyone get the statistics of the English national team ever since Capello took over and compare that to previous coaches.
