Never implied it and if fans feel like Real Madrid Franco FC or any nick name that suits their fancy, let them fix their mix. I just know that Atletico Madrid reputation makes them a prime candidate for such a nick name and you would get no sympathy from me for your white knight cause.

The worst thing about Real fans calling my team Pathetico is that these "fake" fans have probably never even been to spain, or felt the rivalry. But feel obliged to hate because it is supposed to be their rival.

And we have done some weird shit over the years that we deserve this name? We dont have the financial power to go throw half a billion dollars down the drain for a copa, we actually won the Europa league with 10% of your spending. We dont have a coach that poke's other people's eyes when they are not looking, we dont complain about the ref every game we lose. Sorry for not being as good as you.

Note: By fake, I dont mean glory hunters etc but purely people who adopted Real as their team later on in their lives (i dont want to imply negative connotation of the word fake either).

OBviously, there will be a minority of Real fans here who are spanish etc, therefore what i wrote above might not apply to them.

A fair number of forum users need to grow thicker skin.

Many of my best friends always ridicule me because of Atleti, since they are Real fans. But they grew up hating Atleti, so I dont mind it so much. Plus, you really think I would lose sleep over few Real fans calling my team pathetico?
