Handanovic is 27 and has done what exactly ? He is having a good run of games this season, but I fail to see what Udinese having a weaker defence and thus more shots has to do with Buffon being inferior ?

None of the goals that Buffon conceded were actually ones he could be blamed for, so once again, what does that statistic prove ? It proves that in ten matches this season, Handanovic has been better than Buffon by saves alone.

The funny/tragic thing in Neuer's case is that more than half of the conceded goals were the direct fault of his defenders, IIRC. Among them an own goal, a stupid penalty and two deflections that were more or less own goals, too. Iker lost his crown to Buffon and Neuer - Page 5 2276801876

Lets get this straight Neuer is the best goalkeeper in the world and he took it from Buffon because his been injured for a long time.

The question should be, can Buffon re-take his crown back from Neuer when he returns from injury because

If you are crap for two match days at Madrid the fans start calling for you head.

Iker exploded on the scene at 18 in what is easily the most pressure filled environment in club football. Give the man some credit.

FFS I hate how people discredit La Liga. La Ligas attacking quality is very high ffs, that's why Spain wins everything on NT level don't think these strikers and players all are from Madrid Barca. The talent in Spain is high and I hate how people talk like Madrid and Barca are the only teams in La Liga

La Liga is a good league it's just Madrid and Barca are better than everyone, they would dominate any league (EPL, Serie A and Bundesliga included)

Iker Casillas has half his career ahead of him still and he already has 125 caps at International level while captaining his team to a World Cup and Euro win and breaking records along the way for fun

At club level he has played 590 odd games and won every trophy along the way

AND HE STILL HAS 8-10 YEARS LEFT IN HIM

Buffon and Casillas can be debated quite easily as I feel they are easily the two best keepers of the last two decades and I love them both, Neuer needs to comeback when he has accomplished something worthwhile, atm he stands in the same category as Hart and De Gea
