Why all the high expectations, hence all the fuzz.

So Chelsea had 5-6 good seasons in their history after spending millions and all of a sudden their fans get upset when they lose to the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Man U.

Can a discrete run of 6 successfull seasons do sooo much to their mentality.

When you blow like half a billion, reach CL finals, win PLs for fun and that sort of stuff... yeah.

Just look at ManC's expectations, and they have absolutely ZERO fuzz apart from good form.

But in the midst of all their current troubles (losing to qpr, arsenal, etc.) this loss really exposed their defensive weaknesses. It will be a tough 1-2 get over for chelsea fans....

They actually have had a decent run of results, so it's only natural. They have titles and decent consistency to back it up. Most people only remember 1 or 2 years in the past, anyways.

If Arsenal comes out and wins this year's title, next year we're expected to at least challenge it, if not win it.

My point is Chelsea fans have to understand they are not a big club anymore as a matter of fact they have never been, they are nothing more than Leeds United lets say. So when they lose against the top clubs they should'nt be that upset.

What? Like they can't rebuild their team or they're out of money? Because they have a completely shit squad that probably only needs a few players to be solid? Because they've adapted a completely new philosophy that will take time to implement?

History wise they're not a big club, but history is not taken into account nowadays with billions flowing around as if they were nothing.

Just look at the hype ManC is getting and they are as historically insignificant as you can get.

Chelsea are considered nowadays to be a big club, like it or not.

I made a mistake,it's three pls and not two,but that doesn't change the fact that they didn't win a shitload of trophies. They did win trophies but not as many as you believe they did.

FA Cups are a big deal in England. Hardest league cup to win in all of Europe, by far.

They have still won a decent ammount of trophies. They are rich, attract big star players, challenge for trophies regularly and even win some... What else do you want? I guess we can write off Milan because they haven't challenged the CL since 07.

Milan has been and still are winning trophies, Chelsea had a few good seasons and are now concidered a big club??

I would say an ambitious club, a club that is trying to built a name, etc....

Lots of people think Arsenal are a small club due to lack of trophies, yet we're still rich, known worldwide and can attract decent talents.

If we factor in history we're only behind Liverpool and Manchester.

No one gives a shit about history nowadays, is the point I'm trying to make They only care about results which is why we always have an army of bandwaggoneers following any half decent club.

Barcelona 5 years ago were pretty meh when it came to trophies and results. Look what a few years can do to your reputation.

Yeah, it really depends on what you consider a big club to be.

1. Historically mighty, prestigious clubs often found in CL positions and top half of the table. Can attract good talent by sheer force of influence. Often rich.

2. Strong, very well built club which in player quality alone can challenge titles. Often rich. Attracts top talent not just by influence, but by ambition or simply economic reasons.

I think most people see it as #2 nowadays. Give it a few years and Málaga, ManC and PSG might all be considered big clubs where any player would love to go.

The only thing alike in those two is always money. Guess what that means
