I think we could start with pushing our constitution to allow dual citizenship. So many British Indian players have requested to play for India including PL legend Michael Chopra but they have to give up their English passport.

Also I am not sure if India doing well in football will be good for the world or sport lmao. Value of Sports is monetary here. You could expect super leagues or atleast attempts to create super leagues every year and playing the world cup in India, in the summer in 45 deg Celsius

The surprising thing for me is the lack of passable players from the South Asian diaspora in the UK and to a much lesser extent Canada and the US. You're telling me there aren't at least 3 or 4 decent English players of Indian descent playing in the championship or even League One? Contrast that with Africa, where even the tiniest and sparsely populated French-speaking countries can field a competitive 11 made up of French-born players (The Comoros for example)

Correct, now you have touched on the first point i mentioned and this is for me currently cultural for Indians. Indian culture does not take risks in life especially with a living. People would rather become doctors and engineers and have a generic life. The risk to reward is way too high in sports compared to becoming a doctor or business man. Every profession we think about growing up has a ROI attached to it. If Football does well in India over the years and grassroot infrastructure improves, you will have kids playing Football rather than just cricket. This cultural thought process applies to the Indian heritage abroad as well as Cas says first generation immigrants have spoilt immigration for all of us.

To further add, most Indian sports players do not come from rich or middle class backgrounds, most of them are not even from urban India. Sports is their only way to make money or name as they have no education or life savings. Does that apply to the African nations you are speaking about in context?

Also, rotate what you just said and apply it to global corporates and Business Schools. Africans represent next to nothing in both while Indians dominate them, so its basically how a culture makes you think due to the environment around them.

Indian immigrants are mostly middle and higher class, which typically produces fewer football players on average. Africans are mostly lower-class labor, which is traditionally the pool where most football players come from.

Same reason you see fewer East Asian immigrants producing football players as well.

We've tried the British as well, so can't wait for Germany imo. I have been in France and I do not see how they would improve us other than providing nice forms of cheese.
