we played like underdogs today ffs. it was shameful. our attackers did great, our technique is much much better. but we couldnt control the game, the possession, and we allowed them way too many chances.. barcelona won't forgive us.

i did not watch the CWC quarter-final, but they apparently weren't the better team, but won it anyway because that's football. either way, barça should win it easily.

so barça have just won an incredibly easy game, 4-0. more than 70% of ball possession, al-sadd probably only tried a single shot at goal once the whole game, maybe two.

villa has broken his leg or something :S, that really sucks for him and for barcelona.

i, however, cannot wait for the match on sunday. i know santos are underdogs, but we do have some players up front who can create goals out of nowhere. ganso, neymar, borges.. not to mention danilo, arouca..

if muricy fixes or at least improves our defense, we might have a shot at winning it. getafe (and others) have done it, and we are better than getafe, so why not. (dont take our defending at yesterday's match as a real example of how we do it.. we had a CB improvising as a full back, and everyone has bad days! anyone who watched santos at the libertadores knock-out stages, under much more pressure than yesterday, we'll know how good we've defended).

rsinatra, how has Santos beein in the league this season? I have heard that they have not done as well as last year but that might have been because they were thinking so much about the CWC.

al sadd had 8 players on the defensive midfield all game,no surprise here.
messi was meh,i hope he keeps it up :p pedro wasnt very impressive either,i think Messi,Sanchez,Alves and Iniesta will cause most problems for Santos.

Aside from Neymar, borges, and ganso being dope in attack, Santos are easily not the best team in South America, they won Libertadores with a lot of luck. Had Velez Sarsfield beat Peñarol (which they should have) then Santos would not have won the final. I can name a few other teams in south america that would perform better than Santos.

the only good thing about this game is we finally get to see the "neymar vs messi" game and now maybe Pele can shut his stupid mouth once Barca win 6-0 with messi scoring 5 goals
