GK beats a fan, gets red carded

Happened during AZ vs Ajax game, a fan was taunting the keepr and decided to get on the pitch to settle it. He got karate kicked to the ground, and the goalkeeper got red carded.

AZ manager ordered his players to pull out from the game. Ajax won 1-0.

Well I would complain about that red card too. I'm against that sort of violence in football, but damn the guy had it coming to him. If you go on the field with the intent of confronting a player, expect to get your ass kicked.

What was the keeper supposed to do though, allow the fan to attack him?
The kicks on the ground were too far though but just for the initial contact I would find that harsh

The stupid fan shouldn't be on the pitch. The keeper did nothing wrong, the red card is ridiculous.

The fan got what he wanted mischiefly and literally.

Mischiefly: he got beaten up

Literally: his team won as the opponent forfeited the match.

The hooligan Fan was the winner and the loser is obviously the Ref.

Shouldn't have been a red card imo, but I think the referee felt like he had to punish him somehow. I mean, it's something you wouldn't exactly expect to him...It's so unorthodox that he probably felt like he had to give the red card.

I just heard in the news that the red card was rescinded by the Netherlands FA. Unfortunately It was just a short newsflash in the sports part of the news on TV, so that is all I heard.

So it is definite, the red card against Esteban was officially rescinded and thus there will be no ban afterwards either.

It is currently undecided though whether the match will be replayed.

Football controlling body doing the right thing for a long time, I am so happy about this decision, I would have hate to see that Hooligan win, I hope the match is replayed.
