Despite you having some superb points mole, you've got me wrong here.

All I'm saying is admitting that the league has been a failure but implying that much good has come out of it while the 2 finals despite Bielsa's erratic change of tactics still cements this season as a success along with the main objective in which I explained has been reached. People like you, Dani, and Nick would understand the importance of that objective for Athletic.

So in essence, the league was a failure but there is so so much to look forward to aside from even proving worth on the competitions in so that Athletic have shown what they are capable of and the fans are 100% behind Bielsa for what he has done this season despite some frustrations. Including me.

The squad is good enough for the targets, but just needs more depth and more specifically balance in that depth. Expect Athletic to go on their usual far and wide search for talent over the great hills of euskal herrera.

Nonetheless I applaud you again for your superb and broad understanding on this subject

Athletic's training facilities weren't finished on time and what had been done was of a shoddy standard, so Bielsa ended up in an argument with the site manager, then decked him Laughing

"The condition of Lezama is an insult to the players and I am responsible for them," Bielsa explained. "I was indignant because that was not recognised and began to say offensive things. I don't respect him because he did a bad job.

Criticize Marcelo Bielsa all you want this season. Athletic have been pathetic in their consistency yet one thing people forget is what he has done for Basque Football. I've already written more essay on the latter than there are atoms on a titanium pin yet Bielsa, has been a massive benefactor to Basque Football.

Since bringing the Basque Football to Athletic with courage, bravery and determination, it since then sparked it within Osasuna in the 2nd half of this year to save them from relegation and of course, La Real within this season to not only produce stunning football, to dominate Barca & Real but to clinch 4th spot with minimal spending and a flexible tactics approach from now departed Phillipe Montanier. Leave or stay, all of Euskadi thanks you for your leadership and courage to bring #BasqueReprisal back into La Liga

It even goes beyond the hundreds. If you count the majority of Bilbais, they all want Bielsa to stay as there is a fantastic project going on despite the 2nd season mass inconsistency.

Valverde is an excellent manager, but its a lot more exciting to have Bielsa stay at the realm, especially when he is supported by all.

Racing just fired their coach and tried to get Bielsa to coach them. They phoned Bielsa and halfway through the conversation Bielsa interrupts them and says "Excuse me, what 'project' are you talking about if you just fired your coach on the 4th matchday? Have a good day."

The favourite manager of Javier Zanetti. He prefers Bielsa even to Mourinho.
