His agent said 5 days ago that he "won't retire mid term" on his Portsmouth deal, and that the rumours of his full retirement only came about because people mistook his international retirement as something more than it was.

Wikipedia says he is retired, but that's Wikipedia. I haven't seen any reputable articles saying he has retired yet, so yeah what was your source TS?

One of my favourite players the main reason why I actually started following Arsenal...
Definitely deserves some input from Arsenal in a testimonial if he has or when he eventually retires...

Hmm, are you sure goal.com didn't mess this one up? The game on June 11th that this article was referring to was just his international retirement, but a lot of people misunderstood and thought he was retiring for good. Right after the game his agent said that he was actually not retiring from club football yet. I'm confused
