I think 3 is fine. If they add an additional change every 6 months/year after that.

Yep. Let's say we can change our nicks 3 times a year. This would make sense; it'll make people less confused every time someone changes his nickname and force you stay with your current nickname for a while.

You should have had a rule for not changing the nickname more than once in a month or something like this. I changed my name twice in two weeks Laughing

Now, I can't change my nickname anymore because...wait, I just can't.

Anyway, don't bother too much because I don't want to change it, I was just wondering about that rule Shocked

That has been the rule ever since we started changing the names. Thought everyone knew that. We explicitly mentioned it.

We only do it 3 times because if it was unlimited we will be getting requests every week. It's not useless. It has been working extremely well since the start.

That's why I said that you should have had a rule for not changing the nickname more than once in a month, or once in 3 months for example, if you don't want to get requests every week.

I think the moderators (admins) were kind in giving us 3 (let alone allowing us to change our names). I think it is good to have users keep the same name, it gives the forum some familiarity.
