Shaqiri on the way to FC Bayern

As the "kicker" on Monday reported to the offensive player of the forthcoming Champions League opponents FC Basel for the sum of ten to twelve million € for the upcoming season go to the master record.

Basel winger Xherdan Shaqiri is in Germany to undergo a medical with Bayern Munich, according to Bild.


The 20-year-old is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Bundesliga giants after the two clubs agreed a reported €9 million deal for the player.

Sky Sport News reports that a car with Swiss plates was spotted at Bayern's headquarters earlier on Tuesday afternoon.

Bayern turned to Shaqiri after Borussia Monchengladbach star Marco Reus snubbed the Bavarians in favour of a move to Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.

German sources suggest that Bayern will announce Shaqiri's signing in the coming days.

The Switzerland international will play against Bayern later this month when Basel lock horns with the Bundesliga outfit in the last-16 of the Champions League.

His built is like Aguero and somehow i feel his playing style is liek Aguero except he passes the ball more in the sense that he can play like an AM.

Don't need a goalscorer with Gómez playing. Nevermind Ribéry doing well and Müller also scores (although he's been dry for ages).

I think he most probably will be used in rotation with Robben(basically a signing for the wing positions)..I think Kroos is made for that AM position ,i dont know if Bayern's coach has realized it or not

He is, but he's done some extremely awful experimenting lately (Tymo at RB... the frack?).

Heynckes is actually the one that exploded Kroos into the scene during his Leverkusen days.

But yeah, he'll be a rotation option although I could see him earn his place when Robben inevitably gets injured. He could play inside forward down the right flank or regular winger down the other.

Yeah ,he got that Tymoschuk at RB experiment awfully wrong..

Should have put Lahm at RB and Alaba as LB..Alaba when he came on looked so defensively secure.

Maybe this is a bit of a knee-jerk but i think Lahm should play as a RB form now on and put Alaba as LB instead..Rafinha is a poor defender in my opinion.

Agree, Babun. A defensive signing is still badly needed, but that's for July.

The problem with Bayern is not the players but the coach, whenever they try experimenting things goes absolutely wrong.

Jupp should have learnt from Van Gaal that Schweini-Kroos will never work, they need to stop experimenting players

About the DM i'm not 100% sure but Heynckes wanted Vidal so bad that i thik he looks for one.
