So what? He has a German passport now.

I think it is silly to dwell on the past origin, if someone feels so much at home in some new country that he decides to play for his new home. Shaqiri went through all Swiss youth teams from U17 on, so he is pretty much Swiss to me. ^^

Yes but the name is albanian and many albanians especially those one from Kosovo Macedonia move to Switzrland very often

there are 400 000 albanians in switzerland biggest minority in switzerland.
