Mourinho's Chelsea vs the current Barca team

who would win?

i guesse overall the current Barca team is stronger,
but on head to head in a 1 or 2 match leg,
Chelsea could definitely take on them.
Inter did.. so that Chelsea could as well

Mou's Chelsea couldn't even beat Liverpool's Rafa, let alone this Barca

They would have a chance, but we would likely win. Rijkaard's Barça won them twice, lost twice and tied twice (1 knockout for each) and it was a very inferior team to current Barça.

that tarnished his image for me though, but i was really impressed by his work at chelsea, sacking him for scholari wasnt the right think to do just because he didnt have too much of a media personality

The would make it very hard, it would be a tough game.

But that Chelsea side were on a somewhat equal footing with the Ronaldinho team when they matched, this Barca side is clearly stronger.

However, they do present the style which could cause us great trouble. If they got 1 goal advantage we would have major problems on our hands.

I think that Chelsea team would have put up a big fight, hard to say, but this Barcelona team would win and it wont be a easy game.

i see what you mean about Grant, and he had to dela with alot of injuries at his time at the club eg essien at RB in CL final, and no doubt he was a better coach then Scolari but he just got unlucky tbh, after Roman sacked Grant he wanted Ancelotti but couldnt get him and then jired Scolari as a make shit manager, if Roman knew he couldnt get Ancelotti at that point he prob wouldve sruck with Grant, afterall he gave us a decent league postion and pretty much one hand on the CL trophy

in this game id like to think chelsea could win, but like back then when 'dhinio gave us trouble i think messi would do much the same now, i think if we could keep our defense together and picked a lamprd-maka-essien midfeild and then like franchise said, if we took an early lead we might be able to keep barca out

Mou chelsea was one of the strongest sides ever back then, easily can do some damage to barcas side. Still considering Barcelonas quality and style I can see barca winning against Chelsea but not comfortably. Mou chelsea in 3 years won half of the trophies that chelsea had overall in 100 years.
