Andrea Pirlo has praised the efforts of former club Milan after Juventus eliminated them from the Italian Cup on Tuesday.

The Rossoneri forced the tie into extra time with a 2-1 win over the 90 minutes, but the Old Lady made it 2-2 with Mirko Vucinic netting the goal which takes them to the Final.

“It was a great game and we are happy that we have qualified,” the summer signing from San Siro noted. “However, honour to Milan as they played a great game.”

Having disposed of the Stadio Meazza outfit in the Italian Cup, Juve will now be concentrating on catching them at the top of the table in Serie A.

“Our objective is to try to win each game left in order to remain close to Milan,” continued the 32-year-old.

The Turin giants entertain Inter this weekend, while Milan will face Luis Enrique’s Roma. The Rossoneri are currently four points clear of second place Juve.
