Montella's done a great job at Catania, they are a tough team. I hope some players get rested though. Muntari will definitely play, seeing he's ineligible for CL.

I don't care about who we play, I just care about who shouldn't play, Ibra, Ambro, Seedorf, Nesta, Antonini. Nocerino and Boateng 60 mins max.

It definitely won't be easy, I hope Max rests our key players for Barca. My wish is if we can get up early and take out Ibra and co. sooner than later.

i think up front it will be ibra SES with urby behind, altho i would like to see maxi SES with urby, this way all starters get rests.

in the DM i think ambro or seedorf is gonna miss the 2nd leg? whoever is gonna miss the 2nd leg, should play this game anyways.

tough game, altho i really would like to see a win, bcuz if barca 2nd leg doesnt go our way, i want a comfortable lead in serie a at least, and if barcas 2nd leg go well, we will need that cushion down the stretch, altho our remaining schedule in serie a seems to favor us

I explained in the score prediction thread how Catania have the 2nd most points earned since the winter after as since Montella has come in, Catania have been a true force in the Serie A. I mean check their last 5 games. It involves a 2-2 with Inter, 2-2 Napoli, 1-0 Lazio etc etc.

Montella, is a highly talented manager with a superb understanding of a games tactics and especially the average squad he is given.

A serious predicament we have here given that our squad will have Barca on their minds and key players must be rested.

Abate thankfully is back and fit to start and needs some game time to get fit for Barca. Mexes with his age I am sure he can last as Bonera's inclusion is my first ever inclusion in a line-up and hopefully my last. Mesbah since Antonini must be rested for Barca despite his amazing stamina.

Aquilani for some reason did not play against Barca and will be fit for this match and be our playmaker. MvB even with this game will have ample recovery time since he has been out for the last 2 games as Nocerino will have to be risked although his loss isn't a loss for us.

SES to play his occasional but successful TQ while Ibra with his free false 9/10 role supported the impressive target man, Maxi Lopez.

This game is EASILY one of our most important games as especially Catania is the 2nd hardest team we will face after the Inter derby in the 2nd last game of the season.

A win would be MASSIVE.

well just hoping we can get something out of this game. obviously away barca game is important so hopefully our team can preserve good energy, while boateng abate can get good match fitness.

well lets hope maxi plays full game because poor guy hasnt played much when he deserves to play.

Elsewhere, Allegri confirmed that right-back Ignazio Abate is fit again after a thigh problem but may not be risked against Catania on Saturday.

"Abate has returned from injury, but I still have to decide whether to use him from the start tomorrow or not," he admitted.

"[Massimo] Ambrosini is fine, and I don't think that he will have problems with playing tomorrow and also perhaps on Tuesday.

"[Alessandro] Nesta and [Clarence] Seedorf returned against Barca after having not played for a long time. That's why I'm resting them against Catania.

"[Mark] van Bommel has back problems. We will evaluate his condition in the next few days to see if he will be ready for Barca."

thats good man, its good to see yepes playing, and aquilani too. lets hope main guys like nocerino ibra and abate doesnt play full game. lets hope maxi gets playing time.

yeah after all ibra has important game to look forward to, so i wished maxi had played actually full 90 mins. or atleast lets hope ibra just plays 60 mins and maxi plays the rest of 25-30 mins.

This was not a great match for Muntari and Mesbah to be suspended for, I was hoping for a rest for more of our starters, even if Catania are a very difficult opponent who deserve our full respect. Hopefully Maxi plays the entire second half if Ibra must start. We're going to have to be very careful when defending set piece plays, so it's not a great time to be playing a makeshift defence, however the team should be buoyed by our result during the week and the thought of putting immense pressure on Juventus ahead of their Napoli clash.

it is very clear our players are on "energy save" mode. none is running, and I aint complaining.

wow, I guess 1 point is better than nothing. Catania really played like beast, didn't expect this, not going to lie . Ibra turned into an absolute beast the last 5 minutes, he was amazing!

Bad game by Milan, but you could see that the players weren't trying hard. They were, obviously, saving energy for the Barcelona match.

It's tough to say, in some angles it looked in, and others it didn't. VERY VERY close call.
