he concedes goals other gks would have saved you cant just blame everything to the defence
there are days where you dont need him such as those where madrid wins by a big margin but what about the days where the team struggles?
i expect him to do the impossible and save the unsaved if it is to consider him the best

maybe im wrong about valdes as most say but neuer deserves to be ahead of him

What points? And Valdes has made much more blunders than Iker has done this season. Laughing

So far, the only blunder Iker has made (on top of my mind) is the freekick goal from Senna.

i think you have a child's view of the game.. people just cant do the impossible, there are constraints on everybody.. whenever iker has been called upon he has been great.. almost all the goals we conceded havent been his fault bar the villareal goal, and maybe he shouldve done better against malaga

Can't deny that Casillas is WAY more mistake prone than Buffon....

I can hardly even remember a time where Buffon has made a blatant error.

For every blunder Iker makes against Alacante when Madrid is 3-0 up he will make a 1v1 save in the world cup final.

Oh please - Gigi has won a World Cup, too, so you can't really use Casillas' 2010 World Cup against him. (And I definitely hope that Neuer will get the 2014 World Cup Razz

I remember from a long time when Juve were playing Atlanta the ball was passed back to Buffon and he tried to control it and it went under his leg and into the goal.I cant remember any other mistake though.

I believe Hart to be in their class as well. In terms of raw ability, Hart's reflexes are unreal. But the other keepers are better at distributing the ball.

As the other poster said, with the very best players, there is absolutely no concrete way to determine who is better. It's all about opinion

its not the good performance of casillas that surprised me.. but the bad performance of valdes...

everytime i say someone is good he underperforms. i once said a good thing for coentraos tackling ability and he failed a critical tackle in last minute against bayern

remind me of say a good word for bayern players this wednesday :coffee:
