mou seems to really want a true dm, and it would be ideal for us to get a promising one as well, or an experienced middle age dm.

I side with Sir Bill's opinion on this one. Xabi would last for at least 3-4 more years. Speed was never an issue with him because, well, he never had it to begin with. If Liverpool wants him, they can always throw in a bid but I personally would reject it hard. He's more vital than I think we give him credit for...

at age 31 he will still be one of the best DLP in the game. with out a doubt in my mind.

I wouldn't mind if he stayed as an experienced backup however, but that would be his decision.
