Messi vs Ronaldinho

Messi vs Ronaldinho. I personally believe Ronnie was better everything except close range finishing (inside the box), but Ronnie was better at everything else. Creating, Dribbling, Long shots, Set pieces, etc etc. What do you guys think?

Ronnie for me

Messi's a better dribbler and a better finisher. Ronaldinho is better overall and more talented imo.

Dinho for me

In his prime, Ronaldinho. It's just a shame it lastest so short. He threw it away imo.

Football is about entertainment....and Dinho was magic.

What Messi can do with a ball, Ronaldo can do in his sleep.

Dinho is untouchable. Period.

after chelsea game its good chance for haters to create messi vs ronaldinho threads. why you dont do it when messi scores 5 goals. ronaldinho was great player but let him score messi's getafe goal or similar runs then we can discuss. if he is better than messi at everything (lol)

after he left barca won 2 CL, without messi i doubt it would happen. people spend 2 month learning how to stop messi they end up marking messi with 3-4 defenders. they didnt do it against ronaldinho, after ronnie became famous and when they did it he failed. 1 year to be on top is not so hard. if you do it 4 years in a row after defenders know your moves and tricks, then we can say yes he is something else

depends on how you want to judge them.if you want results,definitely messi,if you want entertainment then dinho

Ronaldinho never got past more than 1 player he dribbled 2 players once in his career and once i think 3 players. and thats it. with the ball Messi is far more dangerous player than him. everybody has his opinion and bias so i'm just letting you decide, after watching their compilations - who is more dangerous when they get the ball?

Messi is too foreseeable. With Ronaldinho, you don't know what he's going to do, he could do 1 or 2 pieces of skills which let you . Above all, football is about entertainment, and what Ronaldinho did in 3 years, Messi won't do in 30.

he was unpredictable at passing, i appreciate it. but at everything else he is not in messi's level.

i'm yet to see ronaldinho do it. can he actually do it? create a goal chance from nothing?



or ronaldinho needed help of 2-3 players to create something like this?


you know why you praise ronaldinho so much. because he got past his only defender with tricks. while messi gets past it without tricks. if you analyze in details you can see that its not simple, messi's touches while getting past that defender is a talent, messi makes it look easy

Ronaldinho was my favourite. It was hard for me to finally to accept that Messi is a better player than the player dinho ever was. That is true. While dinho is one of the most entertaining players with his tricks and all, there is no argument about who is better on the two. Messi has raised his game to a level i dont expect anyone to reach in the coming 10-15 years.

If you have watched the game, messi can do almost anything Ronnie can do...with a change in style, of course. Also- what ronnie could do in 5 seconds, messi can do in 2 seconds. Messi is way faster when it comes to owning his opponents. He can score when he wants to.

What a load of shit. Messi can't do a minute fraction of the things Ronaldinho can do with the ball.

I wouldn't even categorise Messi as skillfull. Even little Neymar is more skillfull than him.

But it's effectiveness that matters, not skill.

Messi is only the better goal scorer and dribbling at pace. Ronaldinho was better at practically every category.

I once remember some Messi fanboy saying that because he doesn't use skills that that somehow makes him better just because of this.
