alex, would you like to give away Jeffren or pay in straight cash? I think perhaps we can keep Jeffren especially with Bojan leaving. Our first team needs one false number 9 and two wing forwards. Now our false number 9 is Messi of course and Mata can be his understudy. Our wing forwards are Villa and Pedro and their competitors will be Mata, Afellay and Jeffren. Our impact players will be Afellay and Jeffren. So now that I think of it again, it sounds like a good idea. We don't have money to waste right now.

Wouldnt be surprised if they sell Jeffren, buy Mata then turn around and buy Cesc.
Buying Mata instead of Sanchez would save us a good grip of cash. Plus selling Jeffren would give us even more cash to spend and throw at Cesc and potentially a CB
Then they would use Iniesta as a winger from time to time with Cesc, Busi, Xavi in the midfield. Also this way they can keep Thiago if they decide to use Iniesta as a winger i think

My opinion on Cesc and Mata............
GTFO none of them are good enough and never will be if you want them well then all can is i hope you enjoyed Barca's time at the top because they will never get back again if they sign either of them.

Mata is a very impressive player, I remember the valancia vs madrid 3-6 game. He had 2 great assists. His whole team wasn't even trying.

With Alexis Sanchez overpriced at €40m, I think Mata is the best winger available that will fit in well into our system. He has played pretty well during the Euro U-21 tourney. I've seen him come off the bench and make a good impact in the Senior Spanish team during Euro 2012 qualifier against Lithuania as well.
He has experienced playing well with the rest of the Spain NT players and he's a friend of David Villa so there should be little friction in the dressing room. The big question will be the transfer cost.

i dont think Valencia would sell you Mata for anything less than 20M, and adding your players in the deal wont help that.
