who are the best holding midfielders in Europe we never talk about?

Good call on the Bender twins, probably my fav twin footballers ever.

Also Benoit Pedretti from Lille, for 5 years that he was in Auxerre he was a major reason for their success and CL appearances. Very underrated I think, he was great for Lille this season too.

Another one is Roman Neustadter from Borussia Monchengladbach, they only conceded 24 goals in Bundesliga and he was anchoring their midfield amazingly all season. I think Schalke snatched him up already for next season if I'm not mistaking.

Loric Cana, he was golden for OM, doesn't get enough credit that he deserves I believe.

Felipe Melo I wouldn't say he's underrated, but he's been a forgotten man since his loan to Galatasaray.

Maybe to a lesser extent the Dutch duo of Demy de Zeeuw and Stijn Schaars. i don't really rate them but they were both good in Eredivisie.

Yup. He'll be at Schalke next season. Very good transfer for them (for free even), not so good for BMG, though.

Maybe one (or both?) of the Benders will be at the Euros.

I don't think Löw will cut both of them, also, with Rolfes not being called up, we're short on destroyers, so at least one will go to the Euros (I'd bet on Sven) - and rightfully so, the Vacuum must get Euro action!

Jordy Clasie,next big Dutch footballer. Too bad Bert is the most conservative manager whose team selection is horrible.
