Post by II Capitano Tue Jun 26, 2012 12:21 pm

Don't know what Macheda has to do with this thread, but since his name has been brought up, all I'm going to say is that he's going to stay with us next season and won't be loaned out, unless he performs below expectation, then we can consider loaning him out next January. The reason for the Italian staying is because Will Keane, who was going to get a chance as one of our back up strikers, is out up until next year, so it would be foolish to invest in a new striker, when we already have Macheda, regardless of whether anyone rates him or not.

I only brought up Macheda, because of the comment above me.

You misunderstood.

I said a few players had to go before MU sign a few more, and Macheda along with few others should go. But I didn't specifically talk about Macheda. Very Happy

Sorry, I didn't see your post. Macheda won't leave, though, because of the shortage in our attacking department.

Even with the shortage of our striking department, he still won't break the first team. He is just not good enough. He wasn't even good enough for Mark Hughes' QPR, and flopped badly at Sampdoria.

He needs another loan spell to work out for him, otherwise he will be another statistic of former Utd players who failed to make it at the club.

Said he wants to carve an image of his own. Good decision for him, but surely after helping Dortmund win the BL in the past 2 seasons fan expectations will be great.

Hope he does well, though.

Mate, I'm not expecting him to break into first team, he's far away from becoming a quality first team addition, like Welbeck, but he is going to be used in the Carling Cup games and so on, until around January, when teams can make a solid offer or a loan move. I don't want him to go just yet.

Kagawa's work permit is delayed in the Philippines so he cannot join in our preseason yet.

Red tape.

BTW, the new kit looks good. Just ignore the striped/checkered design. I have one already. Smile

Quite the contrary. SAF said Nick Powell will be the one to play DM. :coffee:

Swagawa more like..
Looks like a class signing, hoping he can be the danger man we need to link attacks from midfield, especially if Cleverly decides he wants be injured again..
