Ronaldo doesn't perform for Portugal

I agree, he occasionally scores goals, but his overall play is laughable, Nani is better.

Good performance, Holland defence was like swisscheese though when they needed to win by two goals, it was perfect base Cronaldo to score. That's why I put 40€ to Cronaldo 2 goals or more (12x). So thanks for cool 500€, for once.

It will be completely different situation in knockout stages when teams can defend first, then score.

you call it performing? all i see him running from this side to that side all the game because holland dont defend. Next game opposite team dont attack with 10 players, CR flops again and goes home

All he does is score tap ins, and if he can't do that then he moans and cries cause things aren't going his way.

His performance levels are reliant on goals, if he doesn't score he's been trash, if he does score, madrid fan boys proclaim him as the messiah.

When in reality hes been trash, but been fortunate enough to score, through the hardwork/talent of his teammates.

Gunnersaurus would have scored against this Holland defence today. Was more than shocking, it was actually laughable. That's NOT an exaggeration, i actually laughed at how arse the backline was

he didnt even participate in build up play of his goals. if you think these 2 goals changed ballon dor voters mind you are wrong. Unless he does something unique he will never win Ballon Dor even he scores 10 obvious goals like this......

Please forgive me, but with credit to CR's performance this has to be the worst defence I along with many other posters have seen in a long time.

There is not a single man in defence who wasn't average in the dutch defence along with being covered by the painfully average Nigel De Jong.

CR was playing against a team whose manager doesn't have a clue on how to adapt in game.

It was pathetic. Plus CR has a long way to go before he even proves himself for the NT.

It's true. But that wasn't accepted as a decent argument when Messi scored 3 against Brazils third backline and suddenly hailed as a NT team super performer.

Ronaldo is considered one of the best because his ridicilous amount of goals. Performance wise there are many better players out there and players who also participate in the build-up play

The only reason he looked good was because of our defending... very very poor! We gave portugal to much space!

Ronaldo was awesome today, when he does well Portugal manage to really stand out. Too bad he doesn't perform well that often, but he did good.

Having bashed Cronaldo, I have to say, he performed better tonight than he did the past two games

Sadly, Holland's defence was about as scary as Spearing looking for a fist fight

Ronaldo can't be considered above average for Portugal until he proves himself against the no-name U-23 Brazilian Olympic defence.
