Juve offer €15m for Vidal

Juventus have reportedly leapt ahead of Napoli and Milan by offering €15m for Bayer Leverkusen star Arturo Vidal.
The Chile international midfielder scored 10 goals in the Bundesliga this season and has already been linked with several Serie A sides this summer.

Milan and Napoli confirmed negotiations, but this evening Chilean sources claim Vidal’s agents met with Juve directors.

An offer of €15m is on the table to prise him away from Bayer Leverkusen.

“We do have a Plan B around Vidal, as we are already looking for his replacement,” conceded director of sport Rudi Voller.

“We have also decided to wait on the offers that have arrived, hoping Vidal can have a great Copa America with Chile so his price-tag can rise further.”

Aguero + Vidal = win.

looks like we want to derail napoli's plans in the transfer market..but nevertheless vidal is a quality player and dont know how much of this report is true

According to the Chilean site Triunfo.cl today in the Hilton Hotel in Milan Juventus would meet the leadership of the entourage of Arturo Vidal. The white club would be ready to make an offer of 15m for the talented Chilean who is also treated as a week from Naples.

Vidal is a great talent, even if you were trying to acquire him ahead of Napoli he would still be a great addition. The Juve squad is bloated though, you guys have to clear out all that dead weight. Maybe drop +-10 players and make 3 quality signings if you're going to compete at the top like you should. Vidal is quality.

So iam the only one who thinks this is a worthless signing due to the fact he is incredibly like Marchisio who is a future Juventus captain and wont be dropped?

Unless Juve plan to sell Melo and play him as DM which in all honesty takes away 50% of his abilities.

i wonder how he fits in the famous 424 of conte tho, juventus seems to be looking for wingers and forwards + lass, and now vidal.

They were linked with Mascherano, so I'm guessing following the Juve-rumor-mill, leads them to similar players.

Anyone could appreciate Vidal's quality, though. If they plan on 4-3-3 it would make more sence.

I would have half a Vidal than no Vidal at all if I were Juve... considering they just signed Michele Pazienza- who in all honesty is yet another rubbish DM.

I thought Melo was going? Vidal could add depth but Juventus should be focusing on the XI.

Napoli are also interested in him. I guess this would mean Vidal and Pirlo in the middle?

Of course it does' which is why i believe that's exactly how they are going to go. I posted my thoughts on how they should go in tactic's and formation thread in juve section if anyone wants to take a look....

Even then Vidal make's no sense midfield 3 of Melo-Pirlo-Marchisio.......

He would take either Melo or Marchisio position....

Melo is stupid because as i said takes away some of Vidal's abilities to play as a anchorman his natural position is Marchisio place but that wont happen because he is a future captain....

As quality as Vidal is you dont buy player's that you simply dont need especially when you are in desperate need of players at full back and left forward.

This is actually very similar to the Fabregas to Barca story in the sense they looking to buy a player which they simply dont need instead of focusing in other areas where they are weak.

Yeah I must say with a bit of extra squad depth, on paper, that looks like a side that can challenge for the Scudetto.

Tbh lookin at that it remind's it reminds me of the Milan trio a few years ago of Gattuso-Pirlo-Ambrosini....

Pirlo is obviously the deep lyin playmaker who sprays the ball about and dictates the tempo and is flanked by two box to box midfielders Marchisio and Vidal.

I see someone finally has took on my idea for Bastos an attack minded full back and Lichtsteiner as the defence minded full back

Devi i didnt know that if that is the case iam fully behind this move now and that formation that Suarag posted is very similar to how i felt you should play all along except Vidal is there now instead of Melo

Well this formation would accomodate two strikers as opposed to one in the other...but the former still looks better with bastos as WB..But sometimes in 4-3-3 a presence of a target man could also prove vital which would mean that aguero will be occupying the flanks..

I was thinking Melo-Vidal-Marchisio, but then I forgot about Pirlo They could switch around the field in a sexy way. Vidal could work with an anchorman, IIRC. Rolfes and Ballack play that role in Leverkusen, although they play with a double pivot.

Basically you're right, but we all know how Juve's legendary rumor network works.
