I said it would happen few pages ago, good move imo his shirt is going to sell so well and him having a first team number will have a lot to do with that.

I am going to buy one jersey of our new signings, i was leaning toward Hazard's but now i am definitely going to buy Oscar's. If he does indeed get no.11

13 is not a first team number 1-11 is.
13 is a sexy number though. It is believed that Gallas got unsettled mainly because Chelsea stripped him of the number in order to appease Adidas and Ballack.
Hazard should've picked 14 or 13, 17 is a shit number only young players were it when they can't get a first team number.

Re: Oscar
No I thought you meant him not having a crazily high number in like the 30s or 40s or whatever like they give to the youth and reserve players. But seriously, do you think sales will be any different with an 11 on the back than they would be with a 13?Blue wrote:ShedEnd1905 wrote:Meh. 13 was availableBlue wrote:I said it would happen few pages ago, good move imo his shirt is going to sell so well and him having a first team number will have a lot to do with that.

Zola wore 25, mate. JT wears 26 as well. Anelka wore 39. All their jerseys were highly purchased.Blue wrote:Ganso wrote:looks like i wont be getting my hazard jersey

Never said non first team numbers don't sell, i only implied that numbers do matter, they make jerseys more marketable and make them more sought after.

Re: Oscar
He said: 'The offer was very good for me and I didn't have to think twice about signing.
'After the Olympics I am going to talk to the manager and I am ready to do whatever the manager wants me to do.
'For Internacional I played in several different positions, so I have no problem adapting.'
I am good friends with David Luiz,' he said.
'There are also Ramires and Lucas Piazon playing for Chelsea, so they will help me adapt.'
'This is a dream for me,' he said. 'I'm joining Chelsea hopefully to win more titles.
'The project is very exciting, especially with the young players that they are signing.'

Re: Oscar
Why can't Mata, Oscar and Hazard all just wear No.10?
I love Oscar's aditude too. Very humble and committed.

Good idea. One will be 10a, one will be 10b, and one will be 10cKick wrote:Why can't Mata, Oscar and Hazard all just wear No.10?

They all have different names of their back, why not just use them instead of the numbers.

Re: Oscar
It's just so damn annoying. Not only did we hear enough of it when Captain Project himself was at the helm, but lately, every time a club, player, transfer, etc. is talked about, some invariably brings up a "project". And EVERYONE seems to have one these days...
Chelsea have a project, Spurs have a project, Arsenal have a project, Liverpool have a project, Newcastle have a project, Inter have a project, Milan have a project, Roma have a project, Juvé have a project, Napoli have a project, and so on and so on and so on. SHUT UP about it already. Hiring/firing managers, playing a certain way, and buying players isn't a "project". It's called running a football club FFS.
Rant OVER...
