I respect them for their terrific displays of Defense.

However, a Southern European team should enough to handle them. Get someone with a nice Longshot. Smile

stoke should have no fans outside of the club's location. every football fan should hope the absolute worst for them. they are the most anti-football team in history. their best player is an ex javellin throwing champion ffs.

Well, in England he is. Or was. He was one of the top pundits for SkySports until he got fired for femenist comments, something like that Laughing

They arent as defensive as made out to be tbh.Sometimes they do play excellent entertaining football through their wings. They thrashed Bolton 5-0 in a FA cup semi-final not many teams play that attackingly in a FA semi.

I would rather watch them than the likes of City and Birmingham any day of the week.

Horrible horrible team

Its not so much the threat of scoring from throw ins that annoys people. Its the time wasting and breaking up of play.

Its a case of force ball out of play
Wait for Delap to run and get it
Delap waits for towel
Delap fannies about drying ball
Delap waits for all stoke players to croud the box
Delap eventually takes throw in

I remember a stat from around xmas time. They had 400 more throw ins than any other team in the league.

Its more like watching a American football/Rugby game watching them play.

We should adopt those heavy leather balls again, then. Would be so awesome. I'd like to see tiki taka con that shit.

Oh, and have football matches in between wars.

People can and will and should think what they like about Stoke City, but facts are that they've now survived for three straight seasons in the Premier League after being absent from top flight for over 20 seasons and qualified for the Europe League last season. Those are pretty good football results for an anti-football team, imo.

Stoke are great. Few teams play with such heart. You can't deny the results, they are playing to their strengths in a perfectly legal way.

I only wish Arsenal had have their balls.
