Only Yaya Toure & Sahin are better IMO. Maybe Wilshere if he regains his 09-10 form quickly.

He wasn't playing CM here, though. CAM and a target man. Bossed United physically, but won't have that sort of performance in every game.

He did that a lot last season too, including the 4-4 at Old Trafford.

I meant more that he will face tougher CBs than Garrick and tougher DMs than Scholes and Cleverly.

Fellaini played in a free role centrally and attacking minded while at the same time played like a B2B midfielder. He was just different and CAM doesn't fit to describe his role today.

Fellaini didn't play CM tonight though Very Happy

Gibson-Neville played CM.

Fellaini is average in CM...his best performances are always as SS
