i think the penalty was fair..but that red card was not...
the GK did nothing wrong..it was that defender with the knee..and it should have been just yellow card..

gio got pushed from the back into the goalie.. the goalie did come out to get the ball but ended up taking out giovinco.

Not sure if the intention was there but it was careless.. the penalty was fair but the red was kinda harsh

It was great play by Giovinco though...timed the run perfectly and then took the ball away from the keeper cheers

And can be seen as a red card for the following reasons

-clear goal scoring opportunity
-dangerous contact with the head
-last man

It was a penalty the moment Giovinco lifted the ball past the keeper. It is an unfortunate red card but I can understand why it could be given, I don't think it should have been either. It's not his fault that Giovinco is 5'4, and the keeper was 6'5. It's harsh

I don't care what people say it was a 99% goal the keeper missed the ball and made Contact with Gio = Penalty. The fact it was a complete goal scoriing opportuity = Red.

thats why i didnt want to see that red card so early. it was the right call but i just wanted to be able to gauge our team against one of the better sides in italy.

Chelsea look poor, 3 wins against poor opposition and shown up in class by an upper Mid-table Atletico.

Juventus look fine they're lacking the intensity right now which comes with a couple more weeks of training.
