Premier League - Chelsea vs Liverpool

Chelsea face off this Sunday at Stamford Bridge against Liverpool, in a fixture that's become quite a spectacle over the last decade.

Chelsea come off the back of an exhilarating win in the Champions League against Shakhtar Donetsk with a 94th minute winner via a header from Victor Moses that was positively Drogba-esque, while Liverpool will play on Thursday evening away to Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala. Domestically, both clubs recorded draws in their previous Premier League match, with Liverpool holding Newcastle at Anfield and Chelsea being undone by a late equalizer against Swansea City in Wales.

Dang, our first legit loss of the season

If theres on thing that favours us its that Liverpool have to fly to Russia and play tomorrow then fly back to London for the league game while our CL game was a day earlier and we didnt have to leave London for it

Still, its time to feel sad this saturday.

Time to whoop their butts and get our season back on track!

Neutralize Suarez and they're average at best. Although with our defending of late, that's easier said than done. There will be goals, that's for certain.

I just know we're not losing. With the confidence from the Shaktar win, its highly unlikely that we don't beat Liverpool here imo.

Wouldn't Sturridge doing a celebration be contingent on him actually playing? So long as La Nina is slipping hallucinogens and mind control potion into Robbie's coffee every morning, that won't be happening any time

Plus the form OsHazMat is in is better than the form of Suarez tbh.

Form never matters in this game. They could be in nPower League 2 and they would still be favorites in my mind. Over the last few seasons they have been a horrid team yet still manage to beat us, I never understand it but we seem to bring out the best in them.

Agreed. Being the first team to beat them in almost a year is a huge accomplishment, and the exhilaration from the manner of that victory should increase our already good chances of beating them.

I think it'll be Terry-Cahill far the match. Luiz has plaed more games than those two and RDM is trying to balance out the number of games those 3 play.

Suarez is on fire i think, he doesnt have the midfield we have, but hes able to make goals from nothing.

I have faith in him when he's deployed at LM because he can move up but also track back. I guess I shouldn't let one bad performance faze me but he very nearly cost us the game on Wednesday.
